VS 2012 Re: Chart in VB.net

I can't help you with the chart control, but you can get the 5 highest values from the database with something like this:

select Top 5 [farm], [parcel], [layout], [bsr] ' plus whatever other...
  2. Re: How to keep form submittal from navigating away from page

Here's what I finally came up with. Fairly simple, and it works.

    function SubmitFeatureData() {

    require(["dojo/dom", "dojo/request", "dojo/dom-form"],
    function (dom, request, domForm)...
  3. Re: How to keep form submittal from navigating away from page

My understanding is that jQuery's unobtrusive-ajax script has to be loaded into the page for the code that's generated by the Ajax.BeginForm function to operate. Am I wrong on that?
  4. Re: How to keep form submittal from navigating away from page

I got snookered on Ajax.BeginForm since it's tied to the jQuery toolkit - I'm confined to using the dojo toolkit. I've found some example dojo code to perform the partial postback when the submit...
  5. Re: How to keep form submittal from navigating away from page

My apologies - I failed to indicate in the first post that this is an mvc app. Maybe that will help clear things up?
  6. Re: How to keep form submittal from navigating away from page

Right now I'm not using any code to post to the server - it's just a standard html form:

    <form...
  7. [RESOLVED] How to keep form submittal from navigating away from page

    Noob alert!

I have a dojo dialog box that has a form on it. When I submit the values on the form to the server, the dialog dismisses like I want it to, but the whole page navigates away from...

    Re: Merge PDF files

There are various tools for converting stuff to and from pdf format. We use one from a company called Winnovative. But now merging two pdf's? I'm not sure you can do that in the same sort of way...

VS 2012 Re: Debugging issues with VS 2012

If I check 'common runtime exceptions', then the code will break inside the controller method and indeed there is a bug there. I think the reason all I saw was a 500 error was because this method...

VS 2012 Re: Debugging issues with VS 2012

That's what I'm doing - testing a controller that throws an exception. And maybe I wasn't clear above in that, sometimes VS performs properly, and other times it doesn't. Sometimes it will break...
  11. VS 2010 Re: Reading data from serial port from a specific point up to another specific point

Set textbox12.MultiLine = true and then change the line that sets the textbox text to use "&=" instead of "=". This will concatenate the string onto the end of the text in the textbox.

VS 2012 Debugging issues with VS 2012

Lately I've developed an issue with VS 2012 and my MVC 4 app (no wise cracks, sapator. ;) ) When I run the app and the server side code throws and exception, the code will not go into debug mode -...

VS 2012 Re: Adding values in two textbox

One problem I see is that your event handler is handling the TextChanged event for a control named txtddone - not TextBox1. So when you change the value in TextBox1, this code isn't being called.

VS 2013 Re: help with tag line html

So in other words... just because you have created a new webbrowser control, that doesn't mean that it automatically knows where to go. You have to supply it with a URL for it to know what webpage...

I'm not familiar with the Webbrowser control, but my guess would be to change:

VS 2012 Re: xml reading data help

Instead of using regex, maybe it would help if you used xpath syntax - since it's specifically designed to parse xml nodes

  19. VS 2013 Re: Getting ListView Images to a PictureBox

OK. So it looks like the images are not subitems, but rather are part of one or the other of those imagelist - either SmallImageList or LargeImageList - not sure which one the Listview is...
  20. VS 2013 Re: Getting ListView Images to a PictureBox

It would if you had two images associated with each ListviewItem, but I'm guessing that's not the case. I haven't seen the code that's being used to populate the Listview, but my guess is that each...
  21. VS 2013 Re: Getting ListView Images to a PictureBox

Arrays are zero based, so SubItems(1) would actually be accessing the 2nd subitem in the ListviewItem.
  22. VS 2013 Re: Getting ListView Images to a PictureBox

It seems to me that you may not need ImageList at all. You already have the ListViewItem that the user selected - simply get the image that you need from the ListviewItem.
  23. VS 2013 Re: Getting ListView Images to a PictureBox

    Is ListView1 populated using ImageList1.Images?
  24. VS 2013 Re: Getting ListView Images to a PictureBox

  25. VS 2013 Re: Getting ListView Images to a PictureBox

What that error is telling you is that you're trying to access an element in an array that doesn't exist. I can't say for sure where it's happening, but I'm guessing it's occurring at this line:

  26. VS 2013 Re: Add items to a dataset and display in listbox

Does it error on a specific line, and if so, which line and what is the error? Does it not do what you expect it to do? You need to tell us a little more specifics about how it "doesn't work"?
  27. Re: Problem with my active directory code (checking users/opening and loading informa

Do you consistently get nullable object returned for the same user, or will it just happen sometimes and then when you try again for the same user you get the data for that user?

Could you tell us which line of code is generating the error?

As a tip, place any code snippits into a code block for better viewing.
  29. Re: How to stop jquery tabs from refreshing

OK. So here's what I came up with after staring at ya'll's comments and thinking about it. I start by defining the tabs and div's like such:

I'm about as uneducated as you are on this one, tg. ;)
  31. Re: How to stop jquery tabs from refreshing

Well, I figure you could take out the @model and just put in a hard coded link and the issue would be the same. I don't really think it's an mvc-related issue.

How are you storing the images themselves? Are they part of the control's or project's resources, files on disk, in the database?
