  2. Re: How to Show changes made to Form in VB2010

You shouldn't have a Concurrency Violation if you save the updates from App1 before you open App2.

As for why you have have to click movenext for the updates to appear, I don't have and answer. I...
  3. Re: How to Show changes made to Form in VB2010

Don't have time to test right now but maybe the App1 form "GotFocus" event will trigger when you close App2. You could set some type of flag that when True it would requery the table and what ever...
  4. VS 2010 Re: Data binding a CheckBox to a DataGridView via a BindingSource

Do you have your code inside a Try/Catch structure? There could be an exception being thrown but not showing.
  5. Re: How to Show changes made to Form in VB2010

If App2 updates the Prospect table with the picture then it seem that you could just requery the Prospect table from App1 when App2 closes.
  6. Re: How to Tie TextBox to Combbox- Both grabbing data from the same Table.

Do you have code associated with your bindings or is this all done in the designer? If there is code please post it. If this is all done in the designer then I would suggest looking at the...

Re: Add First Row to Read "--Please Select--"

Instead of binding the combobox drop down list to a datatable, you could just manually load the list using a For Loop.
  8. VS 2012 Re: DB: Dataset.Table.Count returns different values in different forms

BTW - You must have added this dataset to the form or have create a global dataset with that name or this would throw an error

    MsgBox(PP4DBDataSet.Table1.Rows.Count)
  9. VS 2012 Re: DB: Dataset.Table.Count returns different values in different forms

How do you do what? I don't know what your trying to accomplish. You need to provide a full explanation.

Re: Create Reports Using Excel As Datasource

You can easily import an Excel file into a Datatable and then use that datatable as the datasource for your report.

    Dim conXl As New...
  11. VS 2012 Re: DB: Dataset.Table.Count returns different values in different forms

In _12view you are referencing a different dataset. Is that all the code you have in that form? If you want to reference the dataset table from _11registnew from _12view then thats not how you do...
  12. VS 2010 Re: How do I reset a combo box if its drop down list and i don't want to delete items

Sorry, I don't understand what you want to achieve. You need to provide a full explanation.

VS 2008 Re: converting from qbasic code to vbasic

If your not a programmer maybe one option would be to run the old program using gwbasic. You can't do that directly on Win7 64 bit machines because gwbasic is 16 bit but from what I read there are...
  14. VS 2012 Re: DB: Dataset.Table.Count returns different values in different forms

Need to see the code for the two forms that seals with loading the data into the datatables and any other relevant code.
  15. Re: Throwing an exception on a SelectedIndex property?

Have you tried putting a break point here,

    cmbCapacityUnit.SelectedIndex = iSelectedIndex
Then check all the values, like "cmbCapacityUnit.Items.Count"
  16. VS 2012 Re: DB: Dataset.Table.Count returns different values in different forms

Are you filling the datatable in the other form? How do you expect us to analyze the problem without seeing any code?
  17. Re: User Controls wont connect to database.

    What does this mean then?
  18. Re: User Controls wont connect to database.

Are you talking about dragging a DGV from the toolbox and no data shows? Well, that's the way is suppose to work. If you add controls from the toolbox, then you have manually assign the controls...
  19. VS 2010 Re: Filtering Data Bound List Box with Data Bound Combo Box

Private Sub ConferenceListBox_SelectedIndexChanged(sender As Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles ConferenceListBox.SelectedIndexChanged
    If...
  20. VS 2010 Re: Filtering Data Bound List Box with Data Bound Combo Box

I don't see where you bind the datatables to the listboxes. Do you do that in the designer? Do you use a bindingsource or bind the datatable directly to the listbox?

    Also, always put your code...
  21. Re: How Save DataGridView CHanges to Internal Dataset!

Again, this doesn't help much. What happens, what do you want to happen?

I don't see where you fill the datatables in the dataset. Is this your first time working with Datasets and Datatebles...
  22. Re: How Save DataGridView CHanges to Internal Dataset!

It would be helpful to know what error. That doesn't tell us much.

    My guess would be this,

    Dim PaintCodeTableAdapter As New PaintCodeDataSet.PaintCodeTableAdapter
    should be

    Dim...
  23. Re: VB .net 2005 and issues with reports when running it on windows 2007

btw - did you ever try running a report with a database that doen't have a password. If that works then the problem doesn't have anything to do with the CR runtimes.
  24. Re: VB .net 2005 and issues with reports when running it on windows 2007

You can join the SAP forum from the same link that I provided you to downloaded crvb05sp1.exe. After you login you will be able to join the discussions. It's a little confusing, at least it...
  25. Re: VB .net 2005 and issues with reports when running it on windows 2007

Did you install crvs05sp1,exe from the link I provided. Also, I don't think you want msm files, more like msi files. I would post your question on the CR forum. They have the best experts.
  26. Re: VB .net 2005 and issues with reports when running it on windows 2007

Which CR runtime did you install? Should install the 64 bit runtimes. I think  Its been a long time since I 've done it.

  28. Re: VB .net 2005 and issues with reports when running it on windows 2007

Check here for the runtimes http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-27942 I don't think the "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0" is your problem. you said every thing else was working and your app probably is...
  29. Re: VB .net 2005 and issues with reports when running it on windows 2007

Have you installed the proper Cr Runtime for Win 7 64 bit?
  30. Re: [RESOLVED] System.InvalidCastException was unhandled

After a little testing it seems that a function that returns a VariantType wants to return a value that can be converted in an Integer. Why are you trying to return a VariantType? If you have to...
  31. Re: System.InvalidCastException was unhandled

Well you are using ADODB when ADO .Net is the proper data access tools. Also, you are trying to return a value from a function like it's done in VB6.

    Did you try this,

    If Not r.EOF Then

  39. Re: I have problem to connect crystal report with MSaccess 2007-2013

I just showed you how to connect to a database with a password and you didn't answer any of my questions. Good luck
  40. Re: I have problem to connect crystal report with MSaccess 2007-2013

Need more information. Are you trying to connect using the report designer or at runtime? If at runtime, provide the code. I normally don't connect directly to the database. I create a Typed...
