    2.0 Re: Fill color text in girdview ?

    That error means whatever you have in your "SearchText" variable wasn't found in c.Value. When you do a .IndexOf, it returns -1 if the string wasn't found.

    What is the value of c.Value and what is...
  2. Re: How do I set a primary key as something the user enters?

    If the primary key needs to be numeric, you could always save it as numeric on the backend, without the leading zeros. Then, when displaying it to the user, or receiving it from the user, massage it...
  3. Re: Site loading/refreshing very slow in Chrome

    I'm using Chrome and I haven't noticed any issues in weeks... other than a random hiccup here or there, but I assume that was just a bad hop to the server.

    Re: were is the beginners forum?

    I assume you're using VB.NET, so if that is the case, you will want to check out the Visual Basic .NET forum. That section handles all VB.NET issues from beginner to expert!
  7. Re: List.Exists vs BindingList.Contains

    Could you not do:

    SqlDataReader reader = storedproc.ExecuteReader();
    if (reader.HasRows)
    {
    list = DTOParserHelper.GetDTOList<CartonScan>(reader);
    }

    // 01/26/15 - mad - Changed.
  8. Re: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect

    I'm pretty sure you need to specify the file at the destination, not just the destination. So you would need something like;

    string fileName = "File1.txt";
    string source = "C:\\File1ToMove\\";...
  9. VS 2013 Re: Refering to a website in asp.net vb code behind

    Glad to be of help. If the issue has been satisfactorily resolved, please go Thread Tools -> Mark as Resolved to let other users know that the issue has been solved.

    Thanks!
  10. VS 2013 Re: Refering to a website in asp.net vb code behind

    Are you asking how to redirect a user? You should be able to do a Response.Redirect within the MenuItemClick event to redirect the user to any page you wish.

    You're thinking about it in the wrong way. While there are ways to invoke a binded event, what you should really be doing is calling another function within your DataReceived binding and then call...

    Re: php error help

    The error tells you exactly what the issue is. Use PDO or MySQLi instead of the mysql_* functions in PHP, as they're deprecated and will be removed in a future release.

    Re: List Item Margin

    I think it has to do with using inline-block.

    Have you tried using display: block, and then left floating the li's? That's what I typically do and it works.

    So change:

    .tabControl ul li...
  14. Re: How to use FSDK.SaveTrackerMemoryToBuffer? Luxand FaceSDK

  15. Re: How to use FSDK.SaveTrackerMemoryToBuffer? Luxand FaceSDK

    From a quick look at the documentation, it appears that SaveTrackerMemoryToBuffer outputs the result to a byte array. You can then take the resulting byte array and write it to the database.

    So...

  17. 4.0 Re: Create TCP/IP port and use it in send and receive

    I'm not sure I understand the question.

    Ports aren't created by an application, they're already there, your application simply listens on a port. The available ports on a computer are identified...

    Re: New Poll question - Net Neutrality

    Did you take the poll? I answered it, so maybe they've implemented something that hides it once you've voted? If I open chrome in an incognito window, it still shows up.

    If you're posting a VB2010 (VB.NET) question, try posting it in the VB.NET section:

    They should be able to point you in the right...

    Re: clear browser history

    That cannot be done. Whether the browser is local or not, it will not allow code to run that would affect it in that way. It could be used maliciously.

  35. Re: Having trouble finding the correct elements on Google maps web page

    I believe for Google maps, you can add "?t=k" to force satellite view.
