    Re: Improve VB6 Controls' Appearance?!

    Again, don't know why you'd want to do this, but here is a simple example using a label instead of a shape.
    Put a textbox and a label (set backcolor to something other than default and set border to...

    Re: Improve VB6 Controls' Appearance?!

    What if the user drags UP instead of to the RIGHT (if you have a horizontal shape-scrollbar)? Am sure it is very possible, but probably not advisable. You'd either have to limit the movement of the...

  4. Re: [RESOLVED] how to prevent that at the input to the msflexgrid not duplicate

  5. Re: how to prevent that at the input to the msflexgrid not duplicate

    What do you want to prevent duplication of? Kode? Does it matter if the OTHER columns may be the same?

    If it is Kode, then do this:

    Private Sub Command2_Click()
    Dim baris As Integer
    ...

    Re: New to VBA

    I'll ask a Moderator to move this Thread to the appropriate Forum. Although some can easily answer that question here in the Visual Basic 6.0 and Earlier Forum, you'll have more luck with your VBA...

    Re: saving decimal only to max value

    Well, I guess you will have to accept it if you want to get larger numbers into the field. just be logical in figuring out what the max value COULD be, and adjust accordingly. I have NO idea how...

    Re: saving decimal only to max value

    From what I understand about decimal fields in mySQL is that you can have 65 digits. So, I would think, if you want a precision of 2 (2 digits after the decimal point) and want numbers larger than...
  13. Re: Save query result to database table.

    Tired of going back and forth between two threads....

    Why don't you just work with gibra on the other one and get that done before you come back to this one.

    outa here (for now)
  14. Re: what is this run-time error ?

    are the values sometimes decimals?

    If so, have a look at this:

  15. Re: Save query result to database table.

    What ARE you trying to do?

    Take this original code and make the change I put in read (and comment everything following that line...then tell me what the Immediate Window says:

    Re: wanted: PSC CDs

    No, I have none of their CDs. Having posted stuff there myself, and learned a lot from others' posts, it is a sad thing that their system crashed. Oh well, we still have...
  17. Re: Save query result to database table.

    No, I want to see what your TCmd.CommandText is. You are telling me it is blank?????
  18. Re: Saving MSHFLEXGRID data to table

    You set cell 1,1 to "2" Or 2,
    try it with 0,0 as that is the cell you say you are on (that is, you say fRow is 0).
    It sure seems to me that cell (0,0) is NOT a number.
  19. Re: Save query result to database table.

    Well, I see plenty wrong then. For Access, you need to use "#" in lieu of "'" around your date values..

    Second, I find it very strange that you say NOTHING is printed out with Debug.Print...
  20. Re: Saving MSHFLEXGRID data to table

    I think then, that we are heading down the wrong path...Are you positive the line on which you are getting the error is this one?

    x1Id = CInt(FlexReport.TextMatrix(fRow, 0)?
  21. Re: Saving MSHFLEXGRID data to table

    AND, you can put a 2 in a grid cell with something like this

    grid.textmatrix(1,1) = 2

    OR

    grid.textmatrix(1,1) = "2"
  22. Re: Saving MSHFLEXGRID data to table

    I take back what I said earlier (post #11).

    VB will automatically convert the 'text' to a number with this:

    Dim xlId as Integer
    xlId = flexReport.TextMatrix(frow, 0)

    as long as the 'value'...
  23. Re: Saving MSHFLEXGRID data to table

    On this line? x1Id = CInt(FlexReport.TextMatrix(fRow, 0)?

    If so, what is the value of fRow when you get the error? AND, what is the value of the cell (fRow, 0) at that time? It has to be a...
  24. Re: what is this run-time error ?

    Maybe (although OP says it works most of the time)...but Googling the error, several hits discuss field lengths (not being long enough to handle what is trying to be inserted) as being a possible...
  25. Re: what is this run-time error ?

    Are you using SQL Server?
    Did you check the LENGTH of each field (in your db) and compare that with the length of a string from your msflexgrid cell(s) to see if the field is long enough to handle...
  26. Re: Save query result to database table.

    1-Are you using MS Access as your database?

    2-Copy/Paste what is printed in your Immediate Window when you uncomment your Debug.Print line. THAT will tell you (and us) what your problems are. ...
  27. Re: Saving MSHFLEXGRID data to table

    No, Arnoudtv is telling you this:
    x1Id = FlexReport.TextMatrix(fRow, 0)

    is incorrect.

    xLID is an Integer, yet you are trying to put a String (FlexReport.TextMatrix(frow, 0)) into it. Even...

    Re: Combo Box help

    Yes, I didn't know how you were going to select from your array, so I just used a listbox (which is really an array anyway) to demo.

  31. Re: [RESOLVED] Get Percent From 1 String And Divide it

  34. Re: [RESOLVED] Get Percent From 1 String And Divide it

    You can do it without all that declaration and assignment of variables, but this is simple, and shows how it can be done. Otherwise you simply use cdbl and cstr in the appropriate places when you...

  36. Re: Get Percent From 1 String And Divide it

    To make it simple:
    Dim nAmount as double
    dim nDiscount as double
    nAmount = cdbl(StrAmount)
    nDiscount = cdbl(Str(discount)

    .....Caption = cstr(nAmount - (nAmount * nDiscount/100)))

    Re: Combo Box help
