  1. Re: I need some help with a formula please

    Thanks.
  2. Re: I need some help with a formula please

You are correct, the test value should be 21 and I while I know that COUNTA is what I want to use, I'm not good with complex formulas and don't know how to add COUNTA to the existing formula.
  3. [RESOLVED] I need some help with a formula please

    The current formula is

    =IF(Topics!$T$2<Topics!$T$3-1,"▼","")

I need to have an AND test added to the value_if_true portion so that even if T2 < T3 -1 it's only true if the count of non-blank...

Never mind, I had the sheet name wrong :(
  5. [RESOLVED] Hide or disable a forms scrollbar on a sheet

Is it possible to hide or disable a forms (not ActiveX) scrollbar on an Excel sheet?

I've tried both of these to no avail.

    Sheets("Blah").ScrollBars("MyScrollbar").Visible = False

No, I wasn't saying that. It just takes me to the screen he showed in post #6, which, for lack of anything better, is OK.

MsOf10 Re: Display the File|Print Window

Rob, while it works for Excel 2010, neither sendkeys nor your approach works in Excel 2007. Do you know a way to show the printpreview window in that version?

MsOf10 Re: Display the File|Print Window

Thank you but that's similar to the code you can get if you record a macro while printing and it's not flexible. The SendKeys code takes me directly to the window and that's what I want to be able to...

MsOf10 Re: Display the File|Print Window

    OMG Application.SendKeys "^{P}" doesn't work but Application.SendKeys "^{p}" does!

I'll leave this open in the hope that there's a non-sendkeys option.

I'm working with someone who has given me his server name and I connected to it using VPN. In order to access the files on that server I assume I have to map a network drive. When I map the network...
  24. MsOf10 Re: Simulate database in use by someone else

  25. MsOf10 Re: Simulate database in use by someone else

Okay this is embarrassing. Wife wife's and my PC are on the same home network and we both use XP as our OS. What I did on my PC was to select the "share this folder on the network" for the folder...

  27. MsOf10 Simulate database in use by someone else

  28. Re: [RESOLVED] Restricting data in an SQL query

Thank you both. I had to qualify a couple of the fields as follows and now it works.

  29. Re: Restricting data in an SQL query

Here's what I'm doing but it says I'm missing an operator.

  30. Re: Restricting data in an SQL query

  35. Re: Copy several rows replacing a fewer number of rows on another sheet.

Perhaps my implementation was wrong but when there are more rows in sheet1 then there are in sheet2, rows below the desired target range on sheet2 are overwritten.

Thanks all but I'm going to go...
  36. Re: Copy several rows replacing a fewer number of rows on another sheet.

Thanks for the suggestion but what I have now works and at this point I'd only change it if there were a simple built-in alternative.
  37. Re: Copy several rows replacing a fewer number of rows on another sheet.

That's essentially what I am doing in my "not very satisfactory" way with the previously unstated fact that the number of rows in both sheets are variable. Seeing as you guys haven't come up with a...
  38. Re: Copy several rows replacing a fewer number of rows on another sheet.

I tried that but there's cell formatting in the heading above what I called Row1 and when I do an insert all the inserted rows get the heading's format.
  39. Re: Copy several rows replacing a fewer number of rows on another sheet.

Well I solved it but not in a very satisfactory way. What I did was to either add or delete (via VBA) enough rows in Sheet2 to make the counts equal and then a straight copy/paste works.
  40. [RESOLVED] Copy several rows replacing a fewer number of rows on another sheet.

I'm trying to do something that I thought would be simple but I haven't been successful:(

I have 9 rows on sheet1 and I want to copy the those rows to sheet2 replacing 8 rows of data. The 9th row...
