    There's no specified length of alternative text as noted in W3.org. There could be other factors in your code or from Outlook itself that cause this weird behavior.

    If your sending emails using the MailMessage class, there's a property called IsBodyHtmland we normally set it's value to True if it involves HTML codes. Did you set this in your code?
