    Rotating 3d Object by Axis

I'm reworking on an old project 3d GDI+ library and I would like to rotate an object by it's x, y, and z axis'. I'm following this website's instructions on how to do the actual rotating, but I'm...
  4. Re: How to validate username and password using regex?

I found JMcIlhinney's blog post Using Parameters in ADO.NET here: http://jmcilhinney.blogspot.com/2009/08/using-parameters-in-adonet.html

If I find the vbforums codebank thread I'll also post it....
  5. Re: How to validate username and password using regex?

If you're concerned about SQL injections, one of the best preventative measures is to use a parameterized query which JMcIlhinney has an article on in the VB.Net codebank.

    Re: [RESOLVED] 3d Rectangle

Yep! If they want a triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, etc. then it's up to them to determine the individual X, Y, and Z coordinates of each vertices.

However, I am writing a cube class where...
  7. Re: How to validate username and password using regex?

Your RegEx is slightly wrong in that you're not escaping the minus character. Use the backslash to escape the minus character and you should be fine. I was able to determine this by plugging your...

    Re: [RESOLVED] 3d Rectangle

What I decided to do is create a property that stores an array of 3d points and rather it being just a 3d Rectangle it will be 3d Polygon.

    [RESOLVED] 3d Rectangle

    Sticky: Re: Xna Faq

You're able to port XNA to iOS and android using 3rd party tools, but primarily it is used on Windows OS such as Win7 and Windows Phone.

  16. VS 2008 Re: VB.NET How to change textbox.text from a thread of another class?

That is a terrible thing to do. That's like you're being told that something is wrong and you're putting your fingers in your ears going "LA-LA-LA... I'm not listening!"

If you want to change the...
  17. Re: Reading and Writing VBA projects file versions.

Here is an example of the UI I was talking about. I didn't finish the last screen and I kind of rushed it, but it gives you an idea:

    Option Strict On
    Option Explicit On
    Public Class Form1
    ...
  18. Re: Reading and Writing VBA projects file versions.

Yeah, the UI was what I was referring to. It's a wizard style UI that starts with an intro explaining what the user is doing. Next it brings you to a screen that is basically a single row selecting...
  19. Re: Reading and Writing VBA projects file versions.

I think that a system restore style would be a good design. People are familiar with the design and concept and I think that it requires very little training on their end to learn how to use it.

  23. Re: Need a little help understand this line of code

Well, I know that the declaration of the List is correct because the syntax is:

    <access_modifier> <name> As New <type>
    Or

    <access_modifier> <name> As <type> = New <type>
    So the syntax would...
  24. Re: Need a little help understand this line of code

What does your Variable class look like?
  25. Re: Need a little help understand this line of code

It looks like it was a C# conversion gone wrong. It looks like it should be:

    Dim variables As New List(Of Variable) From {New Variable(New OI("123456789"))}

  27. VS 2013 Re: Reading and displaying data from a USB device

  28. VS 2013 Re: Reading and displaying data from a USB device

The reason why I asked what is the products name is because you may be able to find the API off of their website.
  29. VS 2013 Re: Reading and displaying data from a USB device

Typically hardware companies provide application program interface(API)'s with their products. What's the name of the device you're using?
  30. VS 2013 Re: Save File Dialog with Filestream and binary file

That's... well, never mind I won't go there.

  31. VS 2013 Re: Save File Dialog with Filestream and binary file

Right now your code uses a BinaryWriter to find a certain position and then write &HB1AA in that position. If you want to not change the original file then make a copy of that file and do the changes...

VS 2010 Re: TextBox contents as Number

You can store the actual value in the TextBox's tag property, but show the correct format(3 digits) as it's Text.

    Edit: Try this:

    Option Strict On
    Option Explicit On
    Public Class Form1
    ...
