    Re: Pointer arithmatic

    It's garbage. I don't get a valid answer

    I'm not using the printf; I'm just using variables in the code section

    char tempPointer[4];

    tempPointer[4] = (char*)ppi - 8);

    Re: Pointer arithmatic

    Really don't understand

    ppi is a pointer to a struct. ppi has address of 0x0043B1C0 but (char*)ppi - 8 results in garbage and I need it to be 0x0043B1B8

    Re: Explanation of a C statement

    OK, thanks. I'm trying to convert the C code to VB6 code.

    1) increment the argste pointer (pste) by 1 so that it temporarly points to the next argste element

    2) get the value of it's pcmFirst...

    Re: Need a for statement explained

    So it only executes isqTo = isqFrom + *pvec for the first time only which is how I get the 18 but it does not do this again until the for statement is again encountered

    I have come up with a way to show a 2D array but maybe there is a better way than mine.

  20. Re: Printing the hex address of C structures

  26. Re: HELP !!! please how to send commands from server to the client via winsock

    OPEN is not a good name for a string variable as it is a VB keyword. Even if you do not have a conflict with this in your code it is still bad practice.
