  1. Re: Migrating from Win xp x32 to Win Server 2012 R2

If it's complaining about MSVBVM50.DLL, then VB6 should have nothing to do with your problem - it's from VB5.
  2. Re: tearing at "circular dependencies between modules" in ActiveX project

I wouldn't edit that path. Windows resolves system32 to syswow64 automatically when you run a 32-bit program. But then 32-bit OS installs are so rare nowadays that it probably doesn't matter.

    As...
  3. Re: Cannot open a .frm file in the VB 6.0 compiler

  4. Re: websocket receiving and sending data larger than 65535?

Somehow I don't think you'll be receiving or sending data larger than 2 billion bytes.
  5. Re: websocket receiving and sending data larger than 65535?

Well I don't know anything about this protocol, but VB longs are 32-bit variables, so the line
    CopyMemory c(0), length, 8
    should be something like:
    CopyMemory c(4), length, 4
    instead.
  6. Re: Struggling with OpenProcess: IDE works, compiled doesn't

The first step to try if an API call fails is usually to call GetLastError afterwards so you know a little bit about why it failed. INVALID_PARAMETER vs ACCESS_DENIED, etc.

That's a bit odd - I'd guess there's a rounding error getting in there somewhere so that the two calculations don't quite match. Just give your labels an extra pixel of width above the TextWidth...

    Re: VB6 and Windows 10X

What I'm looking for is a way to "containerize" a VB6 build server, so that it is sandboxed away from the rest of the development box without having to create a VM with a full OS install.

    Re: VB6 and Windows 10X

That sounds useful. Does the legacy container emulate the registry, or would I have to go reg-free to use it for compiling applications? (talking about regular Windows 10, not 10X)
