  1. Re: Sql simple Query Dosnt Show Results no matter what i change or do why?

Salsa, you really should at least *start* to change the way you deal with
SQL-Queries (maybe at least in new Forms of Functions you create).

    You can avoid dealing with...
  2. Re: vbRichClient Form.SetMinMaxDimensions strange behaviour

Yep - and I didn't even shave this morning (as usual on a weekend).

Ok, I guess I'll take your reply as a:
"thank you, for fixing a non-critical bug after only 3hours reaction-time".
    ;)

  3. Re: VB6 Render PDF-Files directly (and generate a Preview from the same DrawingRoutin

That's not enough (not the right way to "go about it").

The vbRichClient5.dll is an ActiveX- (a COM-) Dll - and as such it needs to
be *registered* on a Developer-machine first.

    On the...
  4. Re: smallest (most portable) device that can run VB6 programs ?

That the mobile division was loosing money, whilst trying to enter this yet
unfamiliar market with a new chip-design which for the first time was
truly able to compete with the ARM-Chips on their...
  5. Re: vbRichClient Form.SetMinMaxDimensions strange behaviour

Fixed in Version 5.0.22 which I've just uploaded (the old variant was based on
WM_WindowPosChanging... now switched to WM_GETMINMAXINFO, which
doesn't show the unwanted movement when dragging...
  6. Re: smallest (most portable) device that can run VB6 programs ?

When you have a production-line which is already profitable (the 0.22nm-process) -
and now switch to a new process (0.14nm) - which yields roughly twice the amount
of sellable chips on the same...
  7. Re: smallest (most portable) device that can run VB6 programs ?

Let's talk about that again, when the first full Win10-x86 tablets pop-up - within the same
price-range (or lower) than the current ~$199 (or lower) one has to pay for a BayTrail-Atom-
    Tablet with...
  8. Re: Looping Through all records do not sum correctly why?

    Ah - yes, thanks.

Was in "SQLite-mode", where an explicit "Group By"-clause wouldn't be needed in this case.

  9. Re: Dump 16bit grayscale PNG to non compressed output

Yeah - gave you a hint already about one year ago here: ;)

  10. Re: Looping Through all records do not sum correctly why?

Then try to formulate your Result-Field-List first (for your SQL-Select):
You obviously want to filter to exactly one Employee and one sold Item,
so include these two Fields in your SQL-Fieldlist...
  11. Re: smallest (most portable) device that can run VB6 programs ?

That's definitely not as I see it - the opposite seems to be true
(that MS - at least for the "tablet-class" from 7 inch onwards - doesn't plan for any RT-support with Win10 anymore):...

Thanks Tanner, will check it out...

  13. Re: VB6 QR-Encoding+Decoding and IME-Window-Positioning

Think I have it working now... (the unzipped Git-archive should now properly startup as a project - and
the contained vbWidgets.dll should also be usable again, when dragged directly from the zip...
  14. Re: VB6 QR-Encoding+Decoding and IME-Window-Positioning

I've implemented the (natively supported by the cairo-lib) formats png, svg, pdf first.
JPG came later (handled by cJPG separately) - therefore the somewhat differing returnvalues.

    But, a...
  15. Re: VB6 QR-Encoding+Decoding and IME-Window-Positioning

Thanks for the hint - had quite a fight, until I had it corrected at *both* ends -
the clientside Repo and the GitHub-Server...
The solution was finally a .gitattributes file, which enforced CrLf...

Re: Finding text files on a directory.

    <sigh>
You don't seem to understand - these 25% will only apply in very, very rare cases -
these loops I posted above represent an artificial test-scenario... in "real-world-Apps"
    you will see...

Re: Finding text files on a directory.

That reads, as if VB5/6-programs would slow down to a crawl, by not applying the $-suffix.

Let's be frank (and technical) here:

The performance gain one can achieve with that "suffixing" is in...
  18. Re: [RESOLVED] How to get Unicode char on IME window in VB6?

Just uploaded an RC5-based IME- and QR-CoDec-Demo into the Codebank:

  19. VB6 QR-Encoding+Decoding and IME-Window-Positioning

This Demo depends on vbRichClient5 (version 5.0.21 and higher), as well as the latest vbWidgets.dll.
One can download both new packages from the Download-page at:...
  20. Re: Making my codwe shorter and Easier to read and Write

I take it, that this is for VB.NET?
    (since a VB-Label-Control doesn't expose a .Text-Property... and not each Method-call needs parentheses)

However, you could solve that in a nice way, when you...
  21. Re: [RESOLVED] How to get Unicode char on IME window in VB6?

Not sure if that alone will solve the issue, since VBs Main-MessagePump is still ANSI...

I have no issues here, to capture the IME-Char-Message directly (quite similar to the C#-code the OP was...
  22. Re: Questions about using 'other tools' to replace Webbrowser Control.

Your above: "...(the MS)-WebBrowser is quite old and can't do well on many modern websites..."

    due to the missing...
  23. Re: [RESOLVED] QR Code generated incorrectly for text containing hyphen

I'd make sure, that you present them with a small, reduced testcase,
which puts the String (in AlphaNumeric-mode) *directly* into the encoder -
accompanied by the matching image it produces.
    ...
  24. Re: [RESOLVED] QR Code generated incorrectly for text containing hyphen

JFYI, the first image you posted (the Alphanumeric one) -
is indeed recognized as alphanumeric (below QRDataType = 2),
but the content it contains is obviously not "REPO2-9", but: "R0002-9"
    ...
  25. Re: QR Code generated incorrectly for text containing hyphen

Sure is - just force your encoder to Byte-Mode - and feed it a ByteArray with your
UTF8-encoded String-Content (that wouldn't add much overhead, as long as your
    QR-Texts mainly stay in the...

  27. Re: QR Code generated incorrectly for text containing hyphen

Why not play it safe - and always QRencode your Strings as 8-Bit-Data (in UTF8-format)?

I just did that here with my QRcodec-Classes and your Example-String ("Rep01-1")
    produced the following...

So he could have meant his answer as being from base 3 onwards.

    use the ISO 8601...

  40. Re: Help Needed with conversion to .Net

That it surely is - but the Png-Button-Demo I linked to above has no RC5-dependency at all. ;)

It is based on a few GDI+ calls to handle the PNGs and uses a normal (windowless) VB-UserControl.
