There's some hidden meaning there I'm missing :(

Hey what happened to your bug ? Its crawling in a different place ? Did the right hand side run out of bug food or something ?

    Re: Post Race!

However, the only text you cannot put there is "banned" which is prevented by the forum software because its reserved for banned users. That way no one can fake their ban status as being banned.

Re: What if there was a NEW vb6

Ironic that you'd support its ancestor which has 1000x more failings. You people really confuse the hell out of me.

    Re: Compile with all dependencies

You can try the Visual Studio Installer project templates that come with VS2008 and up. Although they are made to create installers for VB.Net/C# projects, they are flexible enough to create decent...

    Re: Compile with all dependencies

Compiling a DLL into an EXE defeats the purpose of a DLL in the first place. DLL means dynamic link library. Its meant to be dynamically linked. What you're describing is called static linking. That...

Ok this is a little beyond me so help me a bit here. What is the ultimate purpose of this program ? I mean what is it something like this usually used for ?

  14. Re: How to get all the sub folders under a directory vb6

I've actually done it that way and its no where near as elegant or simple as the recursive method. Of course its really a matter of preference. Whatever works for you I guess.

    Fair enough. I...
  15. Re: How to get all the sub folders under a directory vb6

I beg to differ. Try writing a recursive search to enumerate a directory tree and you'd see just how retarded Dir really is. Unlike the APIs it calls, you cannot obtain a search handle and as such...
  16. Re: How to get all the sub folders under a directory vb6

I would advise that you avoid using that stupid Dir function for all but the simplest tasks. Don't know why MS kept that old QuickBasic relic in the language. You should instead use something based...
  17. Re: Boot Race. Like post race but completely different.

What the hell kind of PCs do you guys have ? 1 second boots ? lol mine takes like 30 seconds to go from off to the password screen with Windows 7 installed. I must be really behind.
  18. VS 2012 Re: TCP server side diconnected by accident, how reconnect that after server run agai

It will limit the amount you can read on each call to GetStream.BeginRead.

No, the rest will come on subsequent calls to BeginRead. For example if the remote host sent 1024 bytes, it will take...

    Re: Zero-length or Nothing

There is a certain elegance to that method. I use it sometimes but only when I have a function that must return more than one value and declaring an extra class seems overkill. My rational is that...

    Re: Zero-length or Nothing

Its funny that you guys should mention empty lists. I pretty much agree with jmc's thinking. I've always been very clear about how I handle this. When the method in question was passed valid...

The Strings aren't the things behaving strangely, its the methods that behave strangely:-

  26. VS 2012 Re: Dynamic Creation of Multiple Events for Dynamically Created Control

At this point I'd say that the problem is in that ReactorTextbox class. Is that a third party control ? Or is it something you made yourself ?
  27. VS 2012 Re: Dynamic Creation of Multiple Events for Dynamically Created Control

Wait a second, when your ThemeModeChosen is 0 you don't wire up any event handlers, yet you're still creating a TextBox. Why did you do that ?

The Graphics object has a DrawString method which takes a Brush as an argument. You can use whatever colour brush you want to draw the string. You need to create another brush to draw the string.
