  1. Re: how to disable left mouse click in a richtextbox.

When you say somewhere else that kind of implies that there are OK places to click and not OK places to click or I am mis-understanding your words here

Well, considering all of the previous...

    Re: Internet speed

I'm sure it's an intro offer as most ISP service advertizements are and also it's the download speed which is what I am more concerned about. Currently with Version I believe I have 50/25 but I am...

    Internet speed

Don't know anything about Internet speed so I will ask

TWC advertises Internet for 14.99/mo (probably for a limited time however) which includes 2 Mbps.

What does this mean and how good is it
  4. Re: how to disable left mouse click in a richtextbox.

    1) Locked = True prevents user from changing text but allows user to use the scrollbar

    2) Enabled = False prevents user from changing text and does not allow user to use the scrollbar

    3)...
  5. Re: how to disable left mouse click in a richtextbox.

    And then do what?
  6. Re: Question about Email and Outlook Express

I believe I made my question quite clear. I'll repeat it. How can I configure Outlook Express to retrieve email from my web site. What's unclear about that? I know it can be done I just don't...
  7. Re: how to disable left mouse click in a richtextbox.

Can you not use the Locked = True property. That's not the same as Enabled = False

Although Locked = True doesn't stop user from clicking on RTB it simply doesn't do anything
  8. Question about Email and Outlook Express

Currently I am using Outlook Express to retrieve all my email from my ISP which is Verizon. In addition I also own a web site that I use for all my business purposes and all of my clients and...

  10. Re: How to display letter one by one in label dynamically

That's exactly the point I was trying to get across to OP telling him not to use his code but the code I posted instead. He shouldn't be using the Timer event to initialize the variables. I gave him...
  11. Re: How to display letter one by one in label dynamically

You're not doing what I asked you to do. I said use the code I posted; not yours

Your code doesn't work because you are putting initializing code in it. Why do you think I told you not to use...
  12. Re: How to display letter one by one in label dynamically

Use the code I posted, not the code you made up for Timer4
  13. Re: How to display letter one by one in label dynamically

Use a timer. Set your timer interval to the speed that you like.

This is all off the top of my head and not tested so probably will need tweeking

Enable the timer when you are ready to start...

Kind of silly if you ask me. I sure wouldn't want to have to login with something like that. What is it for, kids playing a game

    Re: DragIcon = LoadCursor

You can set it at design time using the properties window or at run time using object.DragIcon = LoadPicture("path_to_cursor_icons\cursor_image_file.cur")
  17. Re: Can someone please describe what this code is doing?

No, source_file1 was not renamed to InBuff. InBuff is a string variable that will be loaded with the data from the file and source_file1 is an integer variable that has the number of the file to be...

    Re: Resize Frame Dynamically

Sounds like you're saying you want to make the Frame smaller in height by shrinking it from the top downward

If so, you need to make it's height smaller then re-position the top to the location...

  25. Re: Adding More Space Between Lines Of TextBox

Right, but what if you made yourself clear from the beginning.

    Text1.Text = Replace(Text1.Text, vbCrLf, vbCrLf & vbCrLf)
  26. Re: Adding More Space Between Lines Of TextBox

Add extra vbCrLf's at end of each line

    Private Sub AddLineToTextBox(NewTextLine As String)
    Text1.Text = Text1.Text & NewTextLine & vbCrLf & vbCrLf
    End Sub

I think this is what you're...

    Re: 32 bit or 64 bit ?!

    Doesn't matter. A 32-bit VB6 app will run on a 64-bit system as a 32-bit app.

Just like an old 16-bit VB app can run on XP
