Search took 0.95 seconds.
After you delete the record in the file, rewrite everthing from that file into a new one. That should suffice.
Can you post your attempt so we can see what kind of file you are using?
Great....forgot about SendKeys! Thx DM and MarkT.
PS-OP--you might get "Permission Denied" on your system if running from IDE, but will work when running Exe.
....of course, my suggestions MIGHT work with a textbox, not sure about comboboxes tho, as 'validation' would not be logical....
Don't know, but I SUPPOSE you could find the location of the cursor and in a Case Statement set focus to the 'next' textbox or combobox based upon where the cursor (if in a textbox/combobox)...
Under the Addins Menu, select "Add-In Manager". From there, select the "Package and Deployment Wizard".
Then, run the Wizard...it will walk you through the steps. During those steps, add the...
Look right here on this forum:
Hmmm... you are right....OP works even if Form2 is not open. So, don't know what is meant by 'crashes'.
Dim iLoop As Integer
Dim iHighestForm as integer
iHighestForm = Forms.Count — 1
For iLoop = iHighestForm To 0 Step — 1
I think you get the...
simply loop through the forms object..
Dim f As Integer
f = Forms.Count
Do While f > 0
Unload Forms(f - 1)
If f = Forms.Count Then Exit Do
f = f - 1
Although what is posted may surely work (didn't review it), why not post YOUR code and someone will help you understand how to FIX it, rather than simply take someone else's code.
.ColAlignment(x) = flexAlignLeftCenter
Here's an EXAMPLE of setting the whole ROW to a color....bet you figure out from this your solution.
Private Sub Form_Load()
grid.Row = 1
Dim x As Integer
For x = 0 To...
THAT confused me even further! :-)
After playing around in Access, came up with 'a' correct sql. Thanks for all your help.
cmd.CommandText = "UPDATE bday INNER JOIN members ON (bday.FirstName = members.FirstName) AND "...
No, not yet. I'll see what that results in...
Roger, techgnome....I usually do, but just wanted to show I tried various methods...it HAS to be something in my 'compound' SQL as individual ones (select and update) work fine. Can't seem to id the...
When using this method - same error:
mySql = "UPDATE bday p set testfield = "
mySql = mySql & "(SELECT memberrace FROM members r WHERE r.lastname = p.lastname and "
mySql = mySql & " ...
and so do these (individually)
cmd.CommandText = "select lastname, firstname from bday"
cmd.CommandText = "select lastname, firstname from members"
Negative....It is located in app.path. (under my profile). I have complete write perms for this directory And the DB file is not read only.
This by itself works fine: cmd.CommandText = "UPDATE...
Simple project. 1 database, 2 tables.
I want to update information in one table based upon what was initially updated into another one. (All after the fact once the first table has been completely...
As each column width may be change (unlike your picture), you might try this as well.
Private Sub Form_Load()
Dim widthOfAllColumns As Double
Dim heightOfAllRows As Double
Roger......I see how/why you did that, instead of just two (like my little example). Good example.
Like: (this MAY be just like post #2).....
Private Sub Command1_Click()
Static gbnum As Boolean
If gbnum = False Then
gbnum = True
can you just do this in the click event of that button"
PicPiece(0).ZOrder 0 'bring to front
PicPiece(0).ZOrder 1 'send to back
Google this "sheridan dbgrid" --- LOTS of examples.
You may already have your solution...but here is an example that also might be of assistance:
Private Sub Command1_Click()
Dim SelFile As String
Dim strdata As String
Dim x As...
Agree with colin....it is easier, IMHO, to search your code for your entire project, and every time you access that table, change the SQLs to use a date field than it is to always having to convert...
CORRECT...the string value MUST be in a 'format' of a valid date. Good reminder, MarkT.
EDIT: But OP can check that with a case statement, for example.
If you want a property indicated (for some reason), the form that 'owns' another, you can always' create one...
Hmmm. I wonder if this 13 year-old thread was not possibly solved before today ( or even if OP is still programming in VB6).
Thank you, Gibra...
This is probably related to the link that DataMiser suggested I check in to the 64-bit vice 32.
When I get the opportunity on that machine, I will re-look into DM's suggestion...
Thanks....sometimes just not thinking clearly.
You 'Declare' in the Declarations section (top of code in the form).
where you have the word 'wait', replace it with the sleep command (like shown above, Sleep 1000)
Just trying to learn some old stuff....I want to use an excel file I am provided by a customer (15-50K lines, ~20 columns).
Takes quite some time to read that file into my Access database, so wanted...
Ok, 'partially' solved. What do you need advice on?
No, that was DM's post. No password on this database.
NO, DM, I forgot to check 32 vice 64. Will later.
Well, the 'solution' was to open my accdb into Access 2013, save it as an Access 2000 mdb, and then change the provider string to Microsoft.JET.OLEDB.4.0.
However, that still doesn't really help me...
