  1. VS 2013 Re: Getting errors how to resolve it?

The first error is essentially a type mismatch error - you're trying to assign SqlDataReader to a SqlDataAdapter - and there's no conversion for that.

The next two errors tell you that you're...
  2. VS 2013 Re: Getting errors how to resolve it?

You need to show us the code that you have and let us know which lines in the code are generating which errors.
  3. Re: how to loop through dataset and compare compare values

It isn't actually comparing the same data row - unless you have the same data in each datatable. I guess I got myself confused, though, by assuming that each spreadsheet would be placed into a...
  4. Re: how to loop through dataset and compare compare values

As far as comparing two groupings of some sort so that you can get a comparison of each and every item, the code might look something like this:

    'WARNING: UNTESTED CODE :)
    Dim...
  5. Re: how to loop through dataset and compare compare values

A simpler way would be to use sql and let the database do the work for you. I don't know what your table structure is like, but a query that would return those that have more than one entry might...
  6. VS 2008 Re: Deploying Mobile APP into MC9190 Pistol Device

Not having any experience with mobile devices, I'm at a loss at this point.
  7. VS 2008 Re: Deploying Mobile APP into MC9190 Pistol Device

I would probably try this download since it's from Microsoft itself:

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22808

I would un-install the others, reboot the device, install the...

Re: Animating Panels to display questions

I never tested the speed of loading all the panels at once. Seems like it would be slower, but since they aren't all being displayed all at the same time it may not be too bad.

    One way to find...

We don't. :D The form is fixed size and modal, so in that respect we make our lives easier. The code that handles the sliding, though, doesn't use any fixed numbers, other than the increment of...

I do something very similar right now in a project that I have where we have wizards. We switch from one step of the wizard to another by sliding one panel out and sliding another panel in. The...

  21. VS 2013 Re: Can I just not bother with private variables and public get/set methods?

Another advantage you gain from properties is the ability to execute code on the get/set events. But if you don't need that functionality - or as Shaggy says, if you don't need binding - then public...

VS 2012 Re: Report from two tables

No, select * from table1, table2 will give you six columns returned, whereas Union would only return 3 columns.

VS 2012 Re: Report from two tables

Another thing to think of is that 'select * from table1, table2' will get you all fields from both tables. So if you had:

    Table1
    - column1
    - column2
    - column3

    and

VS 2012 Re: Report from two tables

If you don't want a long sql statement you could say

    Select *
    from Table1
    Union
    Select *
    from Table2

If you have any filtering to do, you can do that in the datatable. Either way, though,...

Re: How to share VB program with DB

Yep, it isn't clear. You have two access databases - do you have two interfaces? Are the interfaces vb executables or are they built into the database?

VS 2010 Re: Datagridview auto calculate columns.
