Re: Clean Joke of the day

An elderly man was speaking to his doctor and mentioned he thought his elderly wife was losing her hearing. The doctor said to give her a simple test. From across the room, in normal voice, ask her...
  3. Re: [RESOLVED] ListView check\unchecked - a better way

Sure, I had mentioned earlier that I found it irritating when someone throws out a key word or single function without any explanations. They think they are helping someone but are making all kinds...

Re: ado left join sorting issue

That depends on the context. I really wasn't trying to make any particular point other then when someone categorically states Excel is not a database I chime in. I was careful to qualify that in...

Re: ado left join sorting issue

There was quite a debate in a thread about this a few years ago. Personally I maintain, by the strictest definition, Excel is a database. Most people consider a database to be a repository with a...

Re: ado left join sorting issue

Since you already have it in a recordset you could:

    objRecordset.Sort = "YourColumnName ASC"

  10. Re: ListView check\unchecked - a better way

Excellent! That is exactly what I meant. I'm going to back out my code in lieu of that. Thanks!
  11. Re: ListView check\unchecked - a better way

I didn't see there were links to click. I took if for one of those answers where someone throws out a couple of key words and think they helped someone. All that does is irritate me and I moved on....
  12. Re: ListView check\unchecked - a better way

Nope...The e.index is off from a logical standpoint (it doesn't work if you click on another item). I went with my original post. I think it is ugly and I'll bet there are better ways but I need to...
  13. Re: ListView check\unchecked - a better way

2.0 That is what the Critrix servers are on and so our apps need to be that. We have requests in to get more recent frameworks up.

    I appreciate you efforts though...
  14. Re: ListView check\unchecked - a better way

    I getting this error:
'Cast' is not a member of 'System.Windows.Forms.ListView.CheckedListViewItemCollection'

    Here
    lvwClaimProfile.CheckedItems.Cast

    I'm on VS 2012
  15. Re: ListView check\unchecked - a better way

Thanks for posting. I had to add a line to uncheck "none selected" so if something else is picked it gets unselected as shown below. One thing going wrong is:

    1. None selected comes up as the...

I have a listview that comes up with a default selection "None Selected". The user can check multiple items but if "None Selected" is picked at anytime the rest should be unchecked. The code below...

Re: Visual C# NET dll in vb6

Re: Visual C# NET dll in vb6

We use a lot of COM exposed VB .Net classes in VB 6.0. It may need to be similar to that. Here is a link for C# that looks like what I do in VB .Net.

  27. Re: I need someone to compile my code into an .exe

OK..its your business. Regardless of what you are saying you are facilitating making it (the executable) available to the OP when it currently isn't.
  28. Re: I need someone to compile my code into an .exe

Your going to help the OP with a cursor logger? Isn't that against forum policy?
