    Re: saving multiline textbox

    If you want to save the data from the text box then why not just save the data from the textbox?
    If you want to save it without the CRLFs then use Replace$() to remove them.

    No need for any loop...
  2. Re: trying to determine the days between dates between now and the dates listed using

    Debug.Print CDate("7-20-2016")

    Prints 7/20/2016

    Debug.Print CDate("07-04-216")
    Prints 7/4/216

    So when you got a type mismatch there was something wrong with your data that made it...
  3. Re: trying to determine the days between dates between now and the dates listed using

    That would indicate that your string is not in a valid format to be converted to a date.
    This could also happen if you have a blank row in your grid
  4. Re: [RESOLVED] VB6 standard exe runs but startup form never appears!

    Yeah same here. I have not set exceptions for my source folders and have never had any issues using any one of several different virus scanners over the years. Worst case they may slow down the...
  5. Re: trying to determine the days between dates between now and the dates listed using

    Which line do you get the overflow on? What is days defined as there?

    You should also use CDate() for date conversion rather than just assigning a string to a date.

    Have you tried stepping...
  6. Re: trying to determine the days between dates between now and the dates listed using

    You should convert the text to a date before using DateDiff

    That said are all the values in column3 holding date values as your sample?
    Have you steeped through the code or checked after the...
  7. Re: Move first and previous poblem

    You should not be using On Error Resume Next that just hides errors from you.

    On Move Previous you should check for BOF not EOF

    Sub moveNext()
    'note this code will cause an error if the...
  8. Re: Move first and previous poblem

    I also see that you have to many end ifs in most of those code blocks and you are trying to populate the text box when eof is true which will also throw an error.

    When Eof is true that means...
  9. Re: VB6 standard exe runs but startup form never appears!

    Can't say that I have ever saw such an issue.
    I would suspect that there may be some virus/malware involved.

    Definitely not normal behavior

    Re: display in listview on some criteria

    If the list item is empty then that means it would not have any sibitems so I'm not sure what it is you are trying to say there.

    Re: POS product code

    Well you have to define those things then it is just a matter of some simple math.
    Normally you would use a database for all your data including how many pieces are in a box/crate/pallet or whatever...

  13. Re: VB6 standard exe runs but startup form never appears!

    We would have to know something about your program and maybe see some code to be of any help
  14. Re: Controls as Arrays and (array)_Click

    The event structure for a control array is

    Re: vb6: Error 53: File Not Found

    Re: how to add values from multiple textbox

    Are you sure that the values were

    Based on what you said sounds like the values were
    textbox2="1,000"
    textbox3="2,000"
    textbox4="3,000"

    Re: Adressing in my loop

    It would help to know more about the requirement. Odds are that you do not need to break them down into single variables at all.

    For example for logging each of those you could simply log them in...

    Re: Adressing in my loop

    seperate &i2 You can not use such a method for variable names. In other words variable names can not be variable.
    In this case there are only 4 items so you could just use

  19. Re: Extract strings from multi line textbox stuck

  20. Re: [RESOLVED] Impossible to avoid duplication !!!

    I missed the field named order for some reason but yes since order is a reserved word that could be an issue. I would have expected it to give an error though.

    Perhaps there was an On Error Resume...
  21. Re: Extract strings from multi line textbox stuck

    It would help if you stated what problem you are having.
    Would also help if your code was properly indented so as to make it easier to read
  22. Re: Impossible to avoid duplication !!!

    Well your query looks a bit odd. For one thing you are using Like but no wildcard so you probably should be using = instead.

    ID should be the key of the record so there should be no need to have...

  25. Re: Multiple connections to the same Access database simultaneously from the same use

    After giving this more thought it sounds like you are using a higher level connection object [one which is accessible from more than one routine] which you are opening and closing in these routines....

    Re: help with decompiled code

    My guess would be that it is a global variable defined elsewhere.
  27. Re: Multiple connections to the same Access database simultaneously from the same use

    There is no need to have more than one connection here. Use the same connection, test if the connection is already open before you try to open it.
