  1. Re: smallest (most portable) device that can run VB6 programs ?

Thanks, I will study that in detail soon
My friend is leaning towards a 10 inch'ish Tablet that can take a sim card (for internet access)
Am I correct that I must avoid Win 8 RT (because it cannot...
  2. Re: smallest (most portable) device that can run VB6 programs ?

    Thanks for responding.
Much as I love(worship) XP, I suppose I would have to rule that out, as my friend would be unable to buy netbooks with XP pre-installed.
Could you point me to a link where...
  3. Re: smallest (most portable) device that can run VB6 programs ?

How do I ensure that the elderly and feeble minded (me and me) do not get fooled into thinking it runs the proper windows (not RT)
I was doing some browsing and some were saying win 8.1 with no...

I have a friend who has a few staff, who often are not in the office.
What s the most portable (not cumbersome) device that can run VB6 programs.

Re: Deploying VB6 App with Data Environment

Even if you held a cocked double barrel shotgun to my head -
I would never use the Data Environment

Re: smtp gmail sending error help please

    Max,
I must confess to not having tried any of the above YET, apart from checking out the lessening of GMail (Google) security.
The reason that I subscribed (watched) this thread, is a friend keeps...

Re: smtp gmail sending error help please

If your tip helps the OP, I have a thought.
Your tip appears to make the whole Google account insecure, which is nerve racking.
Ideally it would be great if one could make (only) one of our GMails...

Re: smtp gmail sending error help please

Thanks, that worked but needed two head and shoulders clicks
My FF opens a new tab most times when I click links (which I am learning to appreciate)
In this case, my first head and shoulders click,...

Re: smtp gmail sending error help please

    Thanks westconn1

I bookmarked the link, and I wished to test how it will work if I am logged out of Google (which is my preferred state with Google).
After I logged in, I could not log out
    I was...
  11. Re: VbAccelerator SGrid2 Runtime error '440' and Run-time error '0'

If our two posts encourage others to use/try 10Tec's grid, perhaps some of us could work on creating a sample that would allow printing ?
10Tec already have a sample of exporting/automating into...

    I agree with Elroy
UNC path in a Settings.ini file, in the same folder as the VB6 program (on each PC)
  13. Re: VbAccelerator SGrid2 Runtime error '440' and Run-time error '0'

I too use the SGrid2, and for the price, I love it.
Rather than rebooting the PC, you could remote in to one of those PCs where they cannot restart.
Bring up Task Manager and see if you can locate...

    Re: third party datagrid

I am considering two of the above suggestions.

I am checking out the 10Tec iGrid, but I have a suspicion that it will not easily allow one to print the grid contents.
    I could live with Direct...

  17. [RESOLVED] Pass Form Reference to another Form

My question is 'How to set a reference to a Form' using (I guess) Property Set

    I love portable (No install).

    Yup.

If it is just a simple update, one of us could do it for free.

Re: Why Does API:Sleep Work in this Case??

One should not sprinkle them everywhere, and also be careful not to place them within a loop.
