VS 2012 Re: Form In Panel Inherits Panel Font

What happens if, right after to do the Controls.Add(form2), manually set form2's font to the font of your choice and then Show() it?

    So:

    form2.TopLevel = False
    Panel1.Controls.Add(form2)...
  4. VS 2010 Auto generated data layer classes from Tables.

Is there a way to do this? Like have VS generate properties and Save(Insert/update) and delete sub/functions?

I've always just manually written them, but if there is a better way, I would like to...

    Re: ComboBox Population Speed Issue

I'm not sure if you can track the scroll offset in a combobox or not. But you could just load 50/100/200 items at a time in the combobox. If the user gets to where he/she can see the last item in...

VS 2008 Re: Emailing With Yahoo

Look at the example on this page: SMTPClient.

Instead of 'args(0)' you'll pass smtp.yahoo.com (or whatever their smtp host is). You'll then set the client.Credentials property with your yahoo...
  7. Re: Add a delegate for AddressOf TimerModule.TimerProcess

You could try to do Marshal.GetFunctionPointerForDelegate(AddressOf TimerModule.TimerProcess) and use that IntPtr returned for the last parameter in SetTimer instead of a Delegate object.

  8. Re: Add a delegate for AddressOf TimerModule.TimerProcess

  9. VS 2010 Re: HttpModule PostAuthenticateRequest sender.User is null.

Ok, so what it turned out to be was that subsequent calls to a pdf document do not get an authenticaterequest event raised. That was the problem. How can I force IIS or my application to always...
  10. VS 2010 Re: HttpModule PostAuthenticateRequest sender.User is null.

Ok so I compiled my httpmodule and it's dependencies against the 2.0 framework and set the app pool of the application to the classic. Then under classic app pool, enabled 32-bit apps. I also had...
  11. VS 2010 Re: HttpModule PostAuthenticateRequest sender.User is null.

  13. VS 2010 Re: ASP.NET application local directory security question.

  15. Re: Listbox control not preserving selected item on button click.

I"ll test the cases listbox with a custom class with the same property names as the db fields I'm binding to. I'll see if that has a different outcome than binding a datatable.

    I'm positive I...
  16. Re: Listbox control not preserving selected item on button click.

Hmmm so it seems that if you bind the DataTextField and the DataValueField that the control will not maintain the selected state. That value does make it easier than have to query again based on the...
  17. Listbox control not preserving selected item on button click.

VS 2010 Re: Question about Threads.

Re: Getting Data from Excel Spreadsheet

You can fill a DataSet. You can fill a datatable as well. You can also fill a dataset's specific datatable. There a few more overloads as well.

VS 2010 Re: Control webbrowser openfiledialog

I'm not sure you can do this due to security reasons. Controlling a windows form on the client's pc (without them consenting to some sort of client installation program) is suspicious behavior.

  38. VS 2010 Re: Invoking external application form's button event.
