  1. Re: Executing SQL query and retrieving the records

Haven't use ADODB in .Net (and I wouldn't suggest it) but my guess is the "ToString" is in the wrong place. Try something like ".Fields("RACKID").Value.ToString"

Re: Problem with Datagridview in vs2012

    What's the question?

I can see in post #5 that the word "infinity" is found in some of the columns. These columns would have to have a data type of string. You would have to convert this column...
  3. Re: Crystal Report: Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows contain values

This has nothing to do with Crystal Reports. You should ask this question in VB .Net forum. That being said, the error message states what the problem is in general terms.

    You need to check you...

Re: Publish with an option to make a shortcut

If you use the publish wizard, it tells you on the last step that a short cut will be added to the Start Menu. Publish may be basic but I've used it on many apps with good success.
  5. Poll: VS 2013 Re: How to use page of "desinger.vb" to get the original interface

That is a file not a page. Are you saying that you can't find the forms designer.vb file?
  6. VS 2010 Re: Need some help with some easy enough programs

So you just want us to do your homework??? They way it works, you study, then try coding it, if you get stumped then you post what you've written and what the problem is, then we try to help.
  7. Re: create access query using OleDbDataAdapter select statment

Don't understand. You ask how to make a query and then you show us a perfectly fine query. If your asking how to open Access and create a query, then this should be posted in an Access forum.

    Tn,

VS 2013 Re: Combobox source data

You just simply call the "Update" method after adding the row to the datatable. If some other user has modified the table then you would get a concurrency error and you would have to handle it. But...

VS 2013 Re: Combobox source data

No it's not cleaner that way. Your just bloating your code with unnecessary call to the database. But if you want to develop your programs that way that's fine with me.

    Re: ComboBox Population Speed Issue

I don't see why you would want to put 60,000 items in a comboxbox and then use that for doing your searches. Use your database or datatable for searches. They have methods for that purpose.

Re: Logic Error or something else wrong?

I'm guessing that the textboxes are bound to customerstablebindingsource1. Have you put a break point inside the "else" to make sure it is entering there. Say line 23.
  22. VS 2012 Re: Can't save modified database data !*&%$*

You setup code tags by clicking "#".

You don't have to setup a button, the binding navigator has a save button. Just put your code in the click event, like my example.
