    Didn't think this should matter... but BoundItem.Type is L2SQL field, DropDownStyle is just default DropDown.

    I have a combobox and it is databound:

    cboDetailsType.DataBindings.Add("Text", BoundItem, "Type")

    When this happens it loads text into the combobox ... but when this happens the TextChanged...

    Hrm ... it is a big project and don't really want to use entity framework in some places and L2SQL in others :(... so this is not possible with just linq2sql ...?

    .Net version 4 .. as I need xp compatibility :( ... also I am really using Linq2SQL NOT the EF ... is this easy to change if needed and the same compatibility?

    Ok... since datediff and date.subtract() don't seem to be compatible with linq I searched online and found several articles that suggested using the EntityFunctions class...

    Performance may be a little slower, you generally will not notice the difference ... but I use this all of the time...

    Yes i ALWAYS try to handle them where they occur... and very rarely encounter the global one picking them up ... but I think it is still nice to have a global one as a fallback ... so that i can send...

    Ok ... it is compiled in debug mode ... but when using it in VS IsAttached=true ... when not it is false... my custom error handler ALWAYS works when running in VS, but not outside it for unhanded...

    Sorry about the delay ... you can press F7 ... or load it with code ... can't remember how to do this from memory (not near a computer I can check on), but there is an eg of this in my demo project....
