  1. Re: for next and increasing label index

You may also 'Thank' markt by rating one of his posts (little six-pointed star)
  2. Re: for next and increasing label index

Well, when you refer to 'Index of label C', that indicates that you are using an array.
Again, what ARE you really trying to do?
  3. Re: for next and increasing label index

    What?
I ASSUME you have an array of labels called "C".
What are you trying to do?
  4. Re: Execute VB Script/ SAP Script from Excel

Re: Copy Files Using Visual Studio 2010

Perhaps .Net has this capability as well:

    Dim fso As New FileSystemObject
    fso.CopyFile textcopy.text & "\*.*", txtBackup.text & "\"

Re: Copy Files Using Visual Studio 2010

If VB.NET (which is in VS 2010) is anything like Visual Basic 6.0 (the forum in which you posted this), look up the filecopy function.
  7. Re: [RESOLVED] PlaySound API to pause and resume

I MAY have it...researching UNC, drive letter, etc. This should solve my last problrm on alazarous' thread. If I have additional questions on app.path, I'll start a new thread.

    Thanks to all who...
  8. Re: [RESOLVED] PlaySound API to pause and resume

Thx, Olaf...I'll definitely check that out.
FINALLY got the variable to work, needed the variable to be only the file and path name.
Because of the UNC path issue, I was getting lost trying to use...
  9. Re: [RESOLVED] PlaySound API to pause and resume

Replaced network and computer name with mapped Drive Letter: (In this Case a "Y").

Still have discovered why it won't work with network and computer...
  10. Re: [RESOLVED] PlaySound API to pause and resume

Bet He does. Just testing me! He does that a lot when it comes to VB6. ;)

Going back to the drawing boards (and maybe a prayer!!!) and try to figure MY problem out, as you say, jms, that you...
  11. Re: [RESOLVED] PlaySound API to pause and resume

PS--I ran it from IDE AND as an executable using app.path....still does not play.
  12. Re: [RESOLVED] PlaySound API to pause and resume

Re: passel. Yes, verified myFile...proper (I think--explanation below) pathname.
App.path is definitely where the file is located. (Also, tested a 'variable' to a hardcoded path - also see...
  13. Re: PlaySound API to pause and resume

    My post at 21 worked??????

    It did NOT for me.
  14. Re: PlaySound API to pause and resume

Hate to use OP's thread, but hope its ok....how do I use App.Path in your example stum?
For example, my wave file is located in the path of my program and tried:

    Dim myFile As String
    ...
  15. Re: PlaySound API to pause and resume

    Great, Passel...tested, works just great.
  16. Re: PlaySound API to pause and resume

Yes, it was my path. Works just fine.

I do NOT know if you can just 'start' somewhere within the sound file with this function.
  17. Re: PlaySound API to pause and resume

Yeh....it's gotta be in my filepathname.....on a network drive....I'll figure it out. NOW, will OP elect to use it.

Thks jms....pretty sure it's my path.

    Passel.....don't know. :-). I just...

Well, changed my Environment back to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98\Template" as the location for Templates (default). Still same dupes for that set of Components.

    Re: Remove - Form Icon

Of course, you lose min/max buttons---so if that won't work for you...you might try the Fox's suggestions for a transparent Icon.

Also, by doing the Fixed Dialog route, the Default icon will...

This may help. These controls are in this ocx: MSComCtl.ocx. (Of course you knew THAT as well.)

Could THIS file be corrupt? If so, how do I fix? (Limited user privileges on this machine, so...

    Is another 'clue'.
I have three TabStrip Icons...I drop one of them on a form, it names it TabStrip1, saying it is a TabStrip control.

    Dupe Icons in Toolbox

How did I mess this up, and how do I fix it? Googled...no good responses.

When I add, for example, Microsoft Windows Common Controls 6.0, I get multiple 'copies' of the same icons in the Toolbox....

    Re: Array to listbox (VB6)

No offense, but I see you are probably not used Option Explicit (or else you are using some global variables there).
    You should always use OE.

What do you EXPECT to see in the listbox, and what...
  33. Re: Need some clarifications and suggestion about FlexiGrid control

If you have DATE fields, or NUMBER fields, then you will need to 'convert' your STRING data to match what the field requires.

  36. Re: [RESOLVED] Sorting multiple text boxes by ascending/Descending order (VB6)

If so, why not post your solution so that others who visit and may...
  37. Re: Sorting multiple text boxes by ascending/Descending order (VB6)

    True....and probably easier to implement.
  38. Re: Sorting multiple text boxes by ascending/Descending order (VB6)

I'm assuming you want to sort all of the data based upon the points, so you'd end up with something like this:

    ID Name Points
    23 John 89
    51 Jane 76
    27 Fred 59
    ...

    Re: DataEnvironment

Might I suggest, as you are new to programming, DON'T use the DataEnvironment in VB6 (you ARE using Visual Basic 6.0, right?), but instead use ADO connections and appropriate queries.
    If you insist...
