Re: VB6 and Crystal Report 8 in window 7

Try running it outside VB if you can. I suppose part of doing that is how it is set up though. Almost all of ours execute a stored procedure. We can open up the report, point at the ODBC...
  2. VS 2010 Re: Getting 'syntax error in INSERT INTO statement' when trying to insert to MS Acces

Not really MS SQL can be more forgiving than others. Try this:

    create table ##VBForums(DateTime DateTime)
    insert into ##VbForums(datetime) Values(getdate())
    select * from ##VBForums
    drop table...
  3. VS 2010 Re: Getting 'syntax error in INSERT INTO statement' when trying to insert to MS Acces

Check and see if you are using any reserved words as column names. I don't know MS Access but that can cause issues on other DBMS software.

Re: VB6 and Crystal Report 8 in window 7

Could you be more specific then "crashing my app"?

What is the error(s)? My guess is you are missing some of the run time binaries.

Re: Program that read each line?

I think you will need to:

    1. Open the text file and read it line by line. Reference the links I posted.
    2. Parse each line, writing it out as you go, until you find what you want.
    3. Modify...

Re: Program that read each line?

Here a some examples of reading writing text:

I'm not sure what "change it later on the TextBox" means.
  8. Re: Getting Mysql syntax error where there wasn't one before...

I think you just nailed it. In MS SQL you would enclose it in brackets. I don't know MySQL.
  9. Re: Getting Mysql syntax error where there wasn't one before...

I apologize...I didn't see that. I give that little lecture so much I didn't look for it there :o

Can you try it in a query window instead of the program? It might seem more obvious there.
  10. Re: Getting Mysql syntax error where there wasn't one before...

Well maybe someone else will see it but I can't personally guess what is in & ListBoxImgURL.SelectedIndex.ToString and ListBoxImgURL.Text which may be the issue. Perhaps there is a single quote in...
