  1. Re: [JavaScript] Get elements by class from external site

    If you're simply looking to get the elements, and some value in them, but not actually manipulate them, you could simply scrape the source (using C#, python, etc) and use regex to parse out fields...

    Re: Setting Static IP on Kubuntu

    Not sure if it is a typo or not, but you used a comma for your IP address (192.168.1,110). If you do have that typo in your config, it could explain some of the funkiness you've seen.
  3. Re: Read Multiple Text files Into Master Text File

    In your foreach, it would probably be easier to use the File.ReadAllText() method to read the contents of an entire file into a string variable, and then you could use File.AppendAllText() to append...
  4. Re: Read Multiple Text files Into Master Text File

    Best way to do it would be to get a list of all .txt files in the directory you want, and loop through them.

    Open each file and read the contents. Depending on the number of files and the size of...
  5. Re: Show SQLDataReader Results In ONE messagebox

    Instead of printing out the reader to a messagebox, add the reader values to a string variable and add a newline character to the end.

    Then, once you're done looping through the results, just...

  7. 4.0 Re: Generate set of words from a sentense

    You can split based on a space, and then loop through the results to print it. You would need to use 2 for loops.

    Example:

    string statement = "This is a test statement";
    string[]...

    Re: sorry me again

    It would be better for you to post the resulting HTML for us to see (including the header and footer includes), but right off the bat, my guess would be that you're missing your closing table tag.

    Re: [VOTE] Removal of a general setting

    I'm being paid for being at work and it is my job to deal with that customer. That is not the case here, so that seems like a completely irrelevant point.

    Re: [VOTE] Removal of a general setting

    I set myself to hide because, in the past, I've received PM's of people basically demanding I check out their thread that I had responded to before. Sometimes I have nothing more to input and...

    You definitely could go much lower.

    Re: Header Location error

    This line looks suspicious to me:

    if (isset($_GET['success']) && empty($_GET['success'])) {

    Are you really looking to check to see if 'success' it set, but empty? And if so, display the...
  13. Re: [JavaScript] Setting up a new array

    I don't see anything wrong with it. Do you get an error?

    I remember reading a bunch of threads somewhere saying to avoid using

    var tmp = new Array("1","2","3","4");

    And instead to use
  14. Re: First HTML5 game and having some issues

    Even with the JavaScript added in, it still works for me in all browsers. Can you show me a screenshot of what the code I gave above looks like in your browser?
  15. Re: First HTML5 game and having some issues

    When you try with my example, the grid doesn't show at all?

    If not, can you give me your JavaScript (assuming it has changed from above)? It may be doing something funky.
  16. Re: First HTML5 game and having some issues

    You're overcomplicating things by trying to always add borders to sections. Just add them where you need them.

    Try this:

    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html>

    <head>
  17. Re: First HTML5 game and having some issues

    Ah, what I read is actually the same thing, but a little different.

    If you only use CSS, it will set the canvas width and height to match the CSS. However, if you set the size on the canvas itself...
  18. Re: First HTML5 game and having some issues

    Actually, from what I've read, you can't do that with canvas. While using CSS to set the width and height makes it look proper, you need to explicitly set the width and height per canvas object...
  19. Re: First HTML5 game and having some issues

    So a couple issues.

    #1 Canvas needs to have a closing </canvas> tag. You can't use an inline closing (<canvas />).
    #2 The canvas is, by default, display: inline and vertical-align: baseline....

    Re: or !=

    Just talking about MS SQL server (no idea about any others), != actually gets translated to <> on the backend, so they're the same.

    Re: Validate warning on java script

    Yup, you can safely omit it.

    If you go to sites like Google's Hosted Libraries, you'll notice they omit them in the snippets they give you.

    I believe it has actually been deprecated since XHTML...

    Not sure if this is your only issue, but your line

  26. 3.0/LINQ Re: Regarding sending aspx page through lotus notes email.

  27. Re: [CSS] Setting width on items in

    You can either set the anchors to display as inline-block, or you can set them to display as block and float them. Both of those should make your elements line up one next to the other.

  30. VS 2012 Re: UPLOAD form / SUBMIT button with VALUE - where is it in the REQUEST?

    The request keys are the...

    Re: Declare java script variables

    Yes, you have properly declared variables there. However, those are all global scope variables, as you don't have them in a 'class' or a function.
