  1. VS 2010 Re: working with selected text in Richtextbox control in vb.net

That is exactly how I'd expect that code to work, SelectionText is just the chunck of selected text similar to a basic String, all that code does is set the selected text to a Tab char + the selected...

VS 2010 Re: drop down textbox

You can use a ContextMenuStrip to host controls so it will act similar to a combo in dropdown state when shown, (over form edges, Auto close). You can add usercontrols or other form controls using...

  5. Re: 2 elementary questions about vb.net function calls

I haven't looked at IL, but turning off overflow changed the results, when compiled as x86 their is basically no difference at all between the tests, but under x64 TestType1 is now around 7.7% faster.
  6. Re: 2 elementary questions about vb.net function calls

I always have optimization on and use Return.

TestType1 is slower in my testing, but when compiled as x64 there is virtually no difference, < 0.03%, but compiled as x86 TestType1 is slower...
  7. VS 2010 Re: working with selected text in Richtextbox control in vb.net

    What have tried?

A lot of properties/methods are named for exactly what they do, type the name of the control followed by a period char and the Visual Studio's IntelliSense list should be shown....
  8. Re: 2 elementary questions about vb.net function calls

MSDN claims using Return is more efficient then doing it the old VB6 way.

VS 2013 Re: loop, combobox and timer question

The number of items doesn't matter, use the .Count method to get the number of items, collections are zero based so you'd subtract one from the Count to get last item, the very first item is at index...
  10. Re: Boolean - conversion from string error

VS 2010 Re: FindWindowEX Dublicate classnames?

  18. VS 2013 Re: Can't run multiple NotifyIcon applications simultaneously

  23. VS 2012 Re: Student Test Scores , Need help with calculating avg with a structure with arrays

  24. VS 2012 Re: Student Test Scores , Need help with calculating avg with a structure with arrays

  30. VS 2012 Re: Student Test Scores , Need help with calculating avg with a structure with arrays
