    Try this:

Unfortunately an Admin made it visible (an understandable mistake given the way things are set up).

    I've hidden it.

    Re: Hi everyone

    Welcome to VBForums

VB 2002 and later are all VB.Net, so the Visual Basic.NET forum is probably the best place (unless your question is specific to Databases, or one of the other things we...

    Re: ADO reference

Any "recent" versions of ADO should be fine (I'm assuming 2.7 and later, but could be wrong. edit: dilettante is probably right).

The important thing is that you use an appropriate Provider...

Re: Search byte pattern in byte array

The For line you posted has a very big difference... he looped with arrayToSearch (which would cause it to search the whole array), but you looped with bytesToFind (which would only search the first...
  11. Re: If this is possible, is it a Page_Init event?

You can do it, but not using server-side events like Page_Init etc (which are all part of generating a file to send to the client). While you could send a video file using something like this, there...

    VS 2013 Re: [help]

This part of your code reads the file (as you want to display it):

IO.File.ReadAllBytes(OpenFileDialog1.FileName)You could write another line to use that, but it would be more efficient to combine...
  13. Re: Export two Flexgrid data to Excel Sheet as multiple range

I'm afraid I can't see why that would be happening, the code looks like it should copy all the cells (except the header row).

One minor change I didn't make before was to specify the Value...
  14. Re: Export two Flexgrid data to Excel Sheet as multiple range

You haven't mentioned what the actual problem is (just "it is not working if i declare multiple range"), but here is an improved version of your code which fixes various issues:

  20. Re: DTPicker and MSHFlexgrid problem showing data

You mis-interpreted me I'm afraid... the Regional Settings don't matter, the proper formats will always work (so dd/mm/yyyy will always be dubious at best, even for those of us who have that as our...
  21. Re: DTPicker and MSHFlexgrid problem showing data

That formatting is wrong for an SQL statement, no matter what the regional settings are... the link I provided explains the proper ways to do it.
  22. Re: DTPicker and MSHFlexgrid problem showing data

If you put values into an SQL statement (rather than using parameters as you should), you need to make sure that you format them appropriately... which you have not done for either of the date...

  26. Re: How to find closest match beteen 2 numbers

The first step is to read the numbers out of the file, preferably into an array. If you don't know how to do that, see the "Files" section of our Classic VB FAQs (in the FAQ forum)

    Re: Question on object.refresh

It is a timeout that is built in to Windows, and for many of us the time is far less than 2 or 3 minutes (I think mine is about 20 seconds).

    Re: Form instance question

It is the name of the instance, but it is also the name of the class too.

The same idea applied to Random:

    Re: Form instance question

  32. Re: Updating picture to Access Database problem

That would be because you still have a comma before the Where
  33. Re: Updating picture to Access Database problem

Almost... but your SQL statement should not contain pb1.Image , that part should still be @h1

VS 2013 Re: Preventing SQL injection

You should only be using parameters for values, not field names.

Try changing these lines to this:

Dim SQL As String = "SELECT username FROM accounts WHERE username = @username"
    ...
  35. Re: SQL problem with SUM when combine many tables

In that case try with this amended version:

    FROM (Employee E

VS 2010 Re: Help i dont know why it isnt working

Actually it's a bit stranger than that... this line:
    If count = 0 Or 1 Or 2 Or 3 Or 4 Or 5 Or 6 Or 7 Or 8 Or 9 Thenis equivalent to:
    If count = 15 Then

This is because the Or operator is not...
