Re: one more on my data arrival

Your mid(data,2) = "u-" is incorrect. The 2 means the starting position and you also give no length so this will fail. What you need is mid(data, 1, 2) = "u-"

Also, if you are going to use the...

I ran your code again. AddEditTask window is open for task2 and time has run out for task1 so it's reminder form form pops-up. No error. I told you that you can have more than one modal form showing...

First of all in your 1st post you asked about two modal forms showing at same time but your code wants to show one form two times which is quite different which of course you will get that error. If...

Re: Marquee Text in VB 6.0

I'm a little confused here. Does the message not show at all, I mean absolutely nothing, or is it showing garbage of either the same font you used on your system or some other font

    Re: MsgBox handle

It's not me, it's the other person. I'm just curious as to whether it can be done or not. I know you can't get the handle before the MsgBox is shown but maybe there is a way to get it after the...

    Re: vb Forms problem

After your main Form has loaded (Form1) the only way you can have two modal Forms showing at the same time is to first load Form2 using Form2.Show vbModal then in a timer event load Form3 using...

I used to do this sort of stuff with Yahoo games and IM chat. Unless you know the internals of how Yahoo works you wont be able to do this.

    [RESOLVED] Separate Forms or MDI

  19. Re: Moving mouse cursor on the button of the MsgBox

    Re: Unhandled exception. . .

First, you should ask this question in the .NET forum.

Probably, VB (in IDE) is forgiving about the situation but not the system. It obviously means your startIndex variable contains a value...
  22. Re: How can read binary text file first line? and how write to binary text first line

    [RESOLVED] MsgBox handle

Is it possible to get the handle of a MsgBox during run-time and more precisely the handle of a button on the MsgBox
  24. Re: How can read binary text file first line? and how write to binary text first line

Me too but I was giving OP benefit of the doubt.

I got the impression that it's a text file and the first line, what ever it is, he wants to read in as binary and show it in binary format (like a...
  25. Re: Moving mouse cursor on the button of the MsgBox

  26. Re: How can read binary text file first line? and how write to binary text first line

    What does this mean
  27. Re: Moving mouse cursor on the button of the MsgBox

Giving OP's request further thought I don't see an easy solution using move_mouse API or any other method.

Reason is MsgBox is not part of the project; it is a separate Form and it doesn't always...

  29. Re: Convert a LONG data type (2048 bytes) into a BYTE array

You read the header by each of it's field sizes which vary from byte to long then when you get to the sound data (offset +44) you read in bytes to end of file
  30. Re: Convert a LONG data type (2048 bytes) into a BYTE array

Why would you even use Long data type anyway for sound data. All sound data is byte oriented and it should be read into a byte array from the very start when you first open the sound file.

    Re: Please Help VB6

You need an Exit Sub after MsgBox "Hello". Really no need for error handling for this but anyway that's what you need to have else control falls into error handler routine.
