    But if its all dynamic and you dont know ahead of time then you wont know. If the user opens another instance of the same window then that makes it harder too. You dont want to manipulate the users...

    I know that but my point is what if you dont know the z-order along with all the other points I mentioned? The z-order not being known, you wont be able to.

    Well my point is that if they are all the same classnames and cpations and you want a particular instance, then you cant determine which one it is.

    True to a point. If you have multiple instances of this website on your system all maximized and all on the same exact page, you cant differentiate between them for any automation attempts ifd you...

    Yes, you can find a window by its caption/title.

    If your windows are all the same classname and captions then there is no way to tell the difference.
