Welcome to VBForums :wave:
Start learning .NET - it's the present, and it's future ;)
Btw... 2005 is also a .NET - it also works on a .NET framework.
what is the different between .net and 2005?
I am confused about .net ,2005 etc.
Should I learn 2005 directly
As i already said, it's the "same". I think MS stoped naming it .NET cause it's well known now :)
Oh ,I see .
Just like Vb 4.0 5.0 6.0
The difference is its version
3x
Yes, go for VB.NET 2005 as by the time you start to get into it deeply, Orcas (code name for the next VS .NET version) will be out and then you will only be one IDE/Version behind.
The never ending story of learning the "new stuff" :)
Yep go with vb.NET but remembering C++ > .NET C++ & VB.NET > VB ;D

... so many times in fact so creating a thread in FAQ would probably make sense now. :)Quote:
