As you may or may not know, I've run a semi-annual photography contest for VBForum members for the last 3 1/2 years and I'd like to improve it. Please help me out by completing this 5-question survey.

Photography contest!?
I gotta get in on that!
Survey Done!
I filled your survey form first time on this forum
Who dared derail your thread in Chit Chat, Marty?
Btw, how about holding contests with certain themes? For e.g. nature, portraits and so on?
I am currently on a film SLR, and it would be a major pain in the a$$ to get the pics organized and scanned onto a computer. So I am going to be off this competition for a while, unfortunately.
.
Where is this contest if I may so enquire?
It's declared every few months and posted in Chit Chat as a sticky thread (meaning it stays on top no matter whether anyone posts in it or in other threads).
.
Here's a link to the most recent one. It says it's the 'last' but I may try it again.
what i think is that you should extend the time allowed for entries, severely extend it. It's a photography contest. You never know when something worthy of photography may pop up. I would give everyone at least 3 months to submit photos and to make your job easier perhaps you could limit the number of photos each person can submit.
finally, the photos should be in a forum thread, one photo per post, and we could use thread tools to vote on them (the poll). No external links required!
Did you take his survey and put all that inside it?
I did. I was asking if he did. =)
I'm sorry, I got my Lords mixed up:)
If you found a photographic moment after the contest, you could always submit it in the next contest.
The idea of using the forums for the contest is really cool though, I second that. However with unlimited entrants and several photos per entrant, devising a poll would be very difficult.
.
I'd change my name if I could. I no longer use this name for me usual online identity. In most parts I go by Dracorat.
i did take the survey, but i could resubmit because i dont think i listed that before
So what's the survey result ? Will you be continuing this contest ? Also, you are now a retired Admin/Mod. So, does that affect the contest ?
I just entered the survey.
Sid
I just entered the survey.

I was wondering where I became familiar with the phrase "heavens to murgatroid" and did a search.
from wikipedia

Snagglepuss is a Hanna-Barbera cartoon character created in 1959, a pink anthropomorphic mountain lion voiced by Daws Butler. He is best known for his famous catchphrase, "Heavens to Murgatroyd!", along with phrases such as "Exit, stage left!" Snagglepuss was originally known as "Snaggletooth" (a pink lion precursor).
Snagglepuss first appeared in several episodes of The Quick Draw McGraw Show and became a regular segment on The Yogi Bear Show, starring in a total of 32 episodes

By the way your spelling Spoo is not incorrect. They give various spellings for the word murgatroid but no matter what the spelling no version of the word murgatroid has any meaning. Apparently the phrase is an alteration of the expression "heavens to Betsy" which first appeared in the 19th century.

I used to watch snagglepuss. Who knew he was a kellog's spokescat before tony the tiger (incidently voiced by Thurl Ravenscroft, who also sang songs in the Grinch cartoon?
