Prevent copying Pictures in Win7
Hi all, thanks for letting me join.
This might not be in the right place. But I am looking for ideas on scripting a no copy function in Windows 7. I have made some wallpapers for the works machine, and I need to stop others copying them and claiming they did them.
I have seen it done in HTML and Javascript on web sites, it also issues a copyright warning.
Can anybody suggest where to look or start please?
regards
Geoff

Looks like the wrong word (even when spelled correctly). ;)

Ahh, but that's called watermarking.

@ dillettante,
According to that wakipedia that article you liked to says:

It also is possible to use hidden embedded information as a means of covert communication between individuals.
I put the important part in bold. Which, suggests HanneSThEGreaT was correct. Although, wakipedia is known for having some incorrect info.
Re: Prevent copying Pictures in Win7
The article is saying an invisible watermark may be a form of steganography. It is not saying or implying that the words mean the same thing.
If you go looking for a feature to accomplish this in image processing tools you look for watermarking.
Re: Prevent copying Pictures in Win7
I don't know if this may interest you, but you can also create an invisible watermark by writing on the image file at the end, using the "append" method.
Re: Prevent copying Pictures in Win7
But none of this prevents copying anyway.
And either the OP was a drive-by membership we'll never see post again or he's waiting for some miraculous suggestion instead.
