Any particular reason you're asking? If we knew what you're interest was then we might be able to provide a useful answer rather than just yes or no.
it would be great to understand more about what thoughts, and discussions that people has been trough before going for a migration project and it would also be great to understand how the migration projects has been, the learnings and the quality of the migration if it has been done via som tools
Problem is that most anyone who might have done that... probably isn't hanging out in forums geared towards VBers... but most likely in a Java forum instead. I haven't done any migrastion from VB to Java... but I have explored Java, just for my own personal growth... didn't get too far with it... I'd like to get back to it at some point though. But even still, I don't plan any great (or minor, or any for that matter) migration of anything I've done.

Tangible Software Solutions have a VB to Java Converter tool. I haven't used it myself but I have used their Instant VB and Instant C# tools and they are, in my experience, best of breed. I've also used their C++ to C# Converter a little with some success. The more different the source and target languages are, the more difficult the conversion and the more manual work will be needed afterwards. Those tools do tend to add a lot of comments that indicate what that manual work will be though, so they still help with the bits that they can't do for you.
yes we like to see how we can support and help with our tool. :-)
Looking at the username of the TS, it looks like they may have or is developing a tool that will convert from vb to java.
