Cell Phone Backup, samsung focus flash , text messages
I finally upgraded to a Samsung galaxy s ii , moved all the photos, videos, address book (Gmail) and can not locate a way to save the text messages, nothing, no how, no way.
Any ideas ?
Maybe copy them to a text file ?
This could be a paid job.
Thanks

What phone did you have before? There usually is an option to copy the text (SMS) messages over to the SIM card, but the space is very limited. How much are you looking to save?

It might be what you are looking for. Apparently it allows export of SMS messages via CSV.

Thanks, I now have, as of 2/2013, Nexus 4. The Galaxy S II, fell out of of pocket and my mower found it within seconds. With the:: Mighty Text, DropBox, SMB backup, I lost three text messages and two photos. Now looking for a way to save my text messages, and move them to Excel or ?
I just upgraded to 5.0...sucks...and I want to reset my phone
Re: Cell Phone Backup, samsung focus flash , text messages
Yeah, like some people here have mentioned I would have saved everything on to the memory card.
Re: Cell Phone Backup, samsung focus flash , text messages
txt messages are really not meant to be saved. I do allot of txting (several G's a month of it) and yes sometimes you need to save something but I usually just forward that message to my email
Re: Cell Phone Backup, samsung focus flash , text messages
Doesn't your phone comes with a software that you can install on your computer to make back-up of your sms, photos, etc. like KIES? My boss usually upgrades his phone and I can usually transfer all of his SMS to whatever new phone he will have.
