Why does the "Forum Jump" Dropdown have a Go button when it already has an event proc to redirect? This seems redundant, superfluous, unnecessary, or all of the above.

Dude, I have no idea what you just said :p , but you posted this in the wrong section. It should be moved into the Forum Feedback section. ;)
it took me 2 mintues to find the forum jump thing ive never been that close to the bottom of the page before. But the go button is there b/c go buttons are dead sexy. Also some browsers probally wont handle a selection change in the drop box so the button will be needed for those browsers.
Might be that some browsers do not suppport auto jump features, for example when you clikc a link, some browsers might not auto jump.
Thus the go button
The answer is that the auto-jump feature uses JavaScript. If you have it disabled you can use the button to perform the action :)
(ah, and moved to Forum Feedback)
EEK!
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE JUMP TO BUTTON!!! It looked like what I had in a previous post, now its that square gray Search Button thingy !!!
:eek2:

 Sorry you've lost me, I can't see a button like that, I just see a standard "submit" button (in IE and Fx)
I see a Go button right next to the forum jump dropdown.
Its square, its Gray, and it looks just like the old Go button that was beside the search textbox a version or so ago.
The very first post in this thread refers to this go button.
You can't see it?

ok, ok...
Give me a minute, and I'll screenie it.
...
There.
It doesn't look like this on your Explorer Browser???
Strange, for me it is a standard "submit" button, just like 'Post Quick Reply' (even after clearing temp files & reloading).
Does anybody else see the Square version?
I see the standard Go submit button from my browser.Quote:

?? Isn't the standard Go Submit button just a "VB Command button"????

 My buttons don't look like that at all.
Take a look at my attachment.
Except for the buttons in the posts, {Edit, Quote, and the postreply and new thread buttons} all of mine have that default battleship gray look.
Here too. What OS are you guys in? I am in WinXP right now...
XP Pro with IE 6.0
Win2000 5.00.2195 with IE 6.0.2800.1106
I guess that didn't help anything..:(
What domain are you guys using then? I have tried them all now (I think) and I get the same result. But I usualy use: http://vbforums.com Not that I can see why it should make a difference.

Dead end again. Guess I give up.
View Source of your page.
Extract some relevant code pertaining to these buttons.
Is it different or the same as what I posted above?
It is the exact same, AFAIK.

You can't.
You need a external program such as windows blinds.
