Need advice on Online Colleges / Training
I want to get a degree in programming, so I can switch careers. My job will reimburse us for college courses (that we pass), however I have children and can't seem to make it to class. I was wondering is anyone getting their degree online? I just need to start with an associates degree and go from there. I have to go the route of an accredited college or junior college because that is one of the requirements of the reimbursement plan. So if anyone knows of an:
Online
accredited (or seemingly accredited I doubt HR checks in)
relatively cheap (I have to pay for the course up front and then
turn in my grade for reimbursement)
self-or slow-paced (I'm very busy and work a lot of overtime)
It would also be nice if they offered certificates as well as a 2year degree so I can start padding my resume right away.
Eventually I want to find a job developing software or become a FREELANCE DEVELOPER! I figure as a freelancer I could hang on to my current job until I landed a good job. What do you think?
