Controlling Format In A Text Box (Need Help)

I am using all asp pages on my website and i was wondering if there would be a way on one of my employee update forms to actually setup a text were instead of being blank it would have like "( ) - " already in it and when the employee began to type it would place the input from the employee accordingly in the text box
