Hi vb progs,
To fill in information in my database I, have to check this information (Number,Text, Memo etc.)
I did try to find it to search in VB5 the property behind the dot

Is there any property to get this information.
Nice greetings,

You can check the Type property of that field.
Recordset.Field("MyField").Type
The type would be one of the following constants:
dbBigInt - Big Integer
dbBinary - Binary
dbBoolean - Boolean
dbByte - Byte
dbChar - Char
dbCurrency - Currency
dbDate - Date/Time
dbDecimal - Decimal
dbDouble - Double
dbFloat - Float
dbGUID - GUID
dbInteger - Integer
dbLong - Long
dbLongBinary - Long Binary (OLE Object)
dbMemo - Memo
dbNumeric - Numeric
dbSingle - Single
dbText - Text
dbTime - Time
dbTimeStamp - Time Stamp
dbVarBinary - VarBinary
