Proxies...

Okay, have I got a challenge for you guys!!

My boss just asked me to basically make a proxie server.

Can any one think of a way, I could mimic one?

Just to split internet connectivity. ie he wants to be able to acess an adsl line from
my comp.

I would love to be able to write this if anyone can help me get started? :-)

OK, it's difficult to write a proxy server (I've tried) but here's my advice.

The easiest way is simply to pass on the request to another proxy server (perhaps your ISPs?) which would make your life a LOT easier, since then you only need to proxy the request, not extract the server, look-up that server, etc. etc.
