Freeware VB Package and Deployment Software

Hi Guys and Gals,

Does anyone know of any freeware P&D software. Needless to say the one that comes with Visual Studio 6 is cheap and worthless and my department is too cheap to buy InstallShield or Wise.

hehe they can afford Visual Studio 6 but not InstallShield or Wise? Yaa right!! This UPS for goodness sake, not like they are going to lose money today!!

Installsheild comes with Visual Studio 6.0.
Check out the Other Tools section when you're installing the Visual Studio 6.0 software and you'll see Installsheild. MS offers a demo Wise For Windows installer for free also. I don't know how functional it is but you could try it. Go to the MSDN download site and you'll see it there. You might have to be an MSDN subscriber but you can get a free one-year subscription by registering your MSDN & Visual Studio.

Visual Studio 6.0 comes with InstallShield but only Enterprise Edition.

Install Shield is also configured for C++ files as well. But you may be able to adapt it to VB.
