How do you become a moderator?

Not by asking, otherwise I would have done long ago :)

You need to have been a member for ages, be trusted by John, have a good knowledge of the subject etc etc...

Of course, slip a fiver and you never know... ;)

John supposedly has had two "phases" of moderator "rollout" (I swear he's planning a coup d'etat :D). In the second one, he had e-mail converstations with some people and they eventually became moderators. I'll take a shot at Phase 3. :)

I don't, but he hinted that there would be more moderation and cleanup of the forums. And I remember Mike and others talking about it. Don't know specific threads :(.
