The software department here at Technosoft Enterprises has always had an idea about starting a project from scratch on a forum like this and seeing where it goes.
The game would be a 3D Doom-like shooter. We have an awesome storyline already and thought we would try the above idea on this project. We would need programmers, artists, etc. At the moment, it's still really just an idea, but if you're interested (or not), reply here and help to answer some of the starting problems:
-- What graphics engine would we use?
--Who would work on what sections of the project?

Technosoft Enterprises is willing to leave a lot of the technical details in the programmer's (you) hands. We would take the final project and be in charge of publishing it with all of you in the credits as programmers and artists. It might become freeware, but it might become for-profit (fairly divided, of course). We'll deal with that later. So tell me what you think and I'll answer any questions you may have.

I also want to be a member of your team, but like Rickead2000
said try to be a really good game, not some cheap ****.
I'm not so bad in DX, but I think we should use some 3D engine.
I recomend Conitec A4 (www.conitec.com) beacuse it's not so bad and it's cheap. I have the older version of this engine and I can tell you it's really not so bad.
If you are not interested in buying the engine then we can consider to write our own one, but it is some another story.
So, I want to help with VB, DX or some 3D engine, but only the programming stuff. About arts and graphics I cannot help you.

And, if you really think that you have a good story, please, don't give up.
