i have looked through vb-world and i have found a few things on this topic, but what i want to do is have to program check if there is an active connection by possible pinging a server and if something is returned send a value of true to the boolean variable "isconnected". can this be done using vb? possibly using winsock? any help would be appreciated. this MUST MUST MUST to work for ALL internet conenctions: dial-up, ehternet network, DSL, cable modem, etc. thanks very much.
