I am sick of the way Sky TV can get away with providing an absolutley rubbish service which i pay £40 a month for. I Love the programms, but it the quality of the picture. On some nights i can't even watch one decent program as i get just the blue screen. I would switch to cable but we don't have it in our area. The donuts who put it up put it in line with a massive tree in the next garden along. So i think it has something to do with that but when it does work the tree hasen't moved so i'm not so sure. I will have to pay £60 to get sky out to check my system, but i know the system is fine.
The reason i'm saying this is because at least 5 of my friends all have problems with there pictures from time to time and is much worse in the summer. I want my analouge system back, that was perfect. It was Sky who fourced us to have there crummy digital system in the first place.

I've got Sky Digital and don't have any problems with it at all. Mind you, we've got a completely clear line from the dish to the sky.

Go to Services/System Setup/Signal Test. It should give you a couple of bars with signal strength and quality. The strength should be fairly high, between 70-90%, the quality should be at least two thirds. I live in an area without cable, (as a side note, we can't even get ADSL), the lovely man from sky probably screwed up the alignment or something...

I think they have too, i have checked the bars and the top one is just under half way and the next one below is either nothing or just a tiny bit, do you think its the tree?

It's got to be. It shouldn't matter where you are in the country as every system gets the signal from the same satellite.

Those levels are unacceptable, i'd demand they come round for free...they should at least try the dish in a different location
