I used Hal a little, but all of his questions and responses seemed to be canned. How long did it take before you started getting some unique responses?

I've been using him on-and-off at work ( :rolleyes: ) for about two days. He does learn new things. For example:

Filburt: What is my favorite site?
Hal: Your favorite site is the vb forums.

and

Filburt: Is Bill Clinton the president?
Hal: Dubya is the president.

At first, he insisted that Clinton was the president. But after telling him otherwise, he learned and doesn't say that Clinton is president anymore.

That is a canned response, though. I don't doubt he can keep track of new information like websites, email, president, etc. But I sincerely doubt Hal's ability to create genuinely unique sentences from statements you have made in the past.
