There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience. Will you please fix this. It is a major inconvience browsing through pages of tips to try and find something I know is there, but can find.

On another topic, it seems to be forgetting to automatically parse urls (yes I did leave the tick-box ticked) but it has not done it a few times, however it is a minor annoyance compared to the afore-mentioned problem.

Thank you!

EVERYBODY says that they get this, but I NEVER do here.

Using http://www.vbforums.com/ , not http://forums.vb-world.net .

That's where he's getting the error. chrisjk isn't trying to search the forums, just the tips.

Hmm. I just went there again and tried clicking a bunch of links, and I still couldn't get the error.

Anyway, the mail VB World and VB Square sites are old. They're never updated anymore, and the search engine is still broken. Shame on you, John.

Thanks whoever fixed that...

DAMN. THEY HAVEN'T FIXED IT!

If you type something that isn't found, e.g. "Anything", then it displays properly, but if you search for something that is found, it breaks. *annoying*

The opposite would be more useful. :D

I am trying to profile the queries used by the search engine so that they don't break the server when a big search is done (which is what seems to happen).

I'll try and get it working again ASAP, but I can't guarantee anything.

John
