Hey, what's wrong with search?

Can anyone tell me why the search does not work on this site? Actually, it works when you want to search the forums, but not when you are searching the rest of the site. This has not been working for at least a week (because I tried to use it last week). I don't want to post a question for something that might have an article about it. It's just kinda frustrating, you know?

It's been broken for a while. Do a search on Google like:

Thank you, John, for working so hard to fix your search engine. As a programmer, I can understand how frustrating it is to fix something that works sometimes or not all the time.

Are you the only one working on this? If so, I REALLY feel for you.
