Is it just me, or have a lot of people been posting urgent demands that, oddly enough, seem like homework questions? I wonder if all these people are in the same class or what? It's driving me crazy, and I really don't want to answer anybody that needs an answer so fast. You'd think they could open their textbooks and find it themselves, or maybe even (God forbid) learn the stuff on their own. Anyway, I'm getting annoyed.

I agree with Bob on this one. Nobody is going to do your homework for you. Bob is right, open your books and maybe try listening in class.

I am a computer teacher (Object oriented analysis, LAN and compilers) at Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo and a New Programmer in VB. I am agry with everyone, but we must understand that sometimes you have the answer in front of you and you cant see it. Why? I dont know. That we should understand Kids and expecters programmers when they ask for a simple Qs.

I'm sorry Bob if I annoy you with my questions but I wonder why they call this BB General Visual Basic Questions if we're not allowed to ask general(read simple) questions here.
We newbies needs the advice from the Guru's on this page.

What do you mean Phobic's Class? I'm in a class of my own, chief, and that's not bad... I hope. Anyhow, people have the right to complain, so uh... don't steal my material anymore... hehe. :P

It's not necessarily the questions, nor the beginner level, but the urgency some people have been demanding. I think it's pretty self-minded that someone should ask for this forum to drop everything to answer that question. To learn VB requires patience and time, and thes people only want instant gratification that they probably won't remember in the future because they never learned it in the first place.

It seems that there is a very obvious difference between the urgent questions and the sincere beginner questions. The urgent questions usually have the question written out word for word from the prompt, while the sincere questions demonstrate exactly what the person is trying to do, what they have tried, and what would be helpful to know. Whenever I post, I try to look through the help and do a little research on the internet before I bother everyone else with a petty problem.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone, or copied anyone, or sounded as stupid as DiGiTalErRor, but the recent flood of desparate questions is certainly a violation of certain ethics.

I have to say that I agree with with you Bob. I usually refrain from answering these type of topics incase I offend people, but really the "URGENT MESSAGE" stuff.

I don't get it, you usually get answered within a couple of hours anyway.

HOW MUCH FASTER DO YOU WANT IT TO GET?

Sincerely,

Steve.
