How to control LPT1 bit I/O

I willing to make simple controlling kit, using relay which connected to LPT1. I want ro on/off the relay and get input from LPT1 and display in with VB. But I don't know how I start ot, I just newbei in VB. Plzzz help me !!!:confused:
