In WIN NT/2K, if one clicks Start-Run->Cmd.exe, the command-line-console will open up in the directory in which you were last browsing. Somebody here at work had his registry played with, and now it opens up in "C:\user\default\". Anyone know how to fix this?

Search your registry for "C:\user\default\"

try taking off the end back slash, and also try "user\default"

How messed with there registry? what did it?

Well when you say play, Do you mean went into the registry, or used a registry tool to do this... cant you find the person who did this and knee cap him!! :D

they went in with regedit.
