I just cant believe I spent more than a week without comming here.

I'm not a big important person around here, but I do miss to come here even just to read. I hope everything is fine. No one has been banned in the last two weeks has it? Where I am I dont have much time to go to the internet which doesn't bother.
For starting some "hello"s :) to
simon, chris, jethro, parksie, dennis, simonm, kedaman, guv, katie, hooneybee, pix and all the rest of the people!
I did came because I had two questions:
one of my bosses is from manchester (spell?). Half of what he says is "*****" and related words, 25% are a vast variety of dirty language and the rest is ... acceptable. So, is that normal in people from manchester? Anyway I'm learning new interesting vocabulary.
My second question is about everyone's first job. I mean, how was the fealing to actually work for the first time? This question is the one I'm more courious about.

My first job, this one, is in a banana field, cutting leaves, roots, cleaning, picking bananas, drive a tractor  :D and so on...
and it's great except for the banana juice which has the same effect on clothes as what all you boys know

As I dont have much time check out this site if you want (www.hanita.co.il) this is where I've been in the past few days.
you can see this site too: www.kibbutz.net . I know some of you will like.

CHEERS! :)

If 75% of his language is "acceptable", he's obviously got a wider vocabulary than most Mancs... ;)

errm - I don't want to get a torrent of this myself from Mancunians, but lets just say I'm not completely surprised.

My thoughts were - this is fun/stimulating/worthwhile/lucrative/great! :)

I had a look at your URL - very interesting location (and story). What other sorts of people are working with you at your Kibbutz?

Welcome back, Good Dreams!

My first job was teaching little kids how to do arts and crafts! I loved it! I got to play all day and get paid for it....not unlike my job right now!;)

My first job was assembling sinclair power supplies on a production line over the summer holidays. It sucked. But boy did it encourage me to stay in school and get a decent job... unfortunately I ended up with programming :)

hiya david ;)

My first job was 4 yeas ago working as a motor claims assistant (basically I chased people for money) at London and Edinburgh Insurance, who have since been taken over by Norwich Union.

Paid well too, £4.50/hour. That's damn good for a 16 year old (considering most people at that age were doing paper rounds for 20 quid a week).

I made a few cock-ups though. Once, I wrote a really bitching letter to some old biddy, saying pay up or he'll hunt you down with packs of dogs etc etc, it turned out she had already paid (DOH!!).

Funny, I do all my stalking for free. I must be some sort of philanthropist or some such!

Welcome back, Good Dreams!I'm afraid I'm not really back. I will only be when I return to home and start my school routine.

I had a look at your URL - very interesting location (and story). What other sorts of people are working with you at your Kibbutz? From the volunteers I can say that most of them are south corean and south africans (what an accent!), but the proportions can vary along the year. Apart from these two groups there's a guy from columbia, a girl from canada, a gril from california, a guy from ... israel, a russian guy, a portuguese and a french.
This kind of variety makes every day an interesting day. They're mostly in their twenties, except me. There's even a married couple here. :)

So I guess it's quite common to like our first job, judging from everone's opinion. But what SD mentioned is svery meaningful!

BTW, do you think 100 US$ per month is good? It's what I'm earning but I dont have much notion about money. I dont receive only cash, I and everyone else is here on "holidays". We have a house, food, a swiming pool, free condoms, a pub, a free bus to the beach, any help in a clinic and free internet.

I think the people who come here are those who dont get impressed by the news and are aware of the safety. There are more than fifty places like this kibbutz around the country, and they are always full. people come and go all the time.

It's just great :)

Hi there - I saw that you were on-line and posting so I popped over to chit chat to say hello!

Glad that you are enjoying it - I couldn't tell from your original post ;) - I guess that the money isn't an important part anyway - I've gotta go now (after midnight here) - so . . . so long!;)
