    In his reply to a posting earlier in the month, Dean Murray recommended the following book by John Connell - “Beginning Visual Basic 6 Database Programming”.

    From ‘reviews’ of the book at Amazon.com I conclude that the book has very little to say about ADO and the Data Environment. Also, the book was published in September 1998.

    Can anyone recommend a more recent book that concentrates on programming database access via ADO?

    There's a series of articles in this site that talk about database programming. In the last article, the author recommends on several appropriate books for you.
